Eddie Money kicks off PTC summer concert series this weekend

It is that time again.

Cochran Mill Nature Center presents 'Snake Day'

People fall on two sides of the snake issue. Some people have no problem looking at, touching or holding snakes, while the other half typically runs screaming or making some half-frightened, half-disgusted noise. If you are one of the former types, Snake Day at the Cochran Mill Nature Center in Palmetto is for you.

The Fox Theatre becomes the Big Blue House this weekend

The Fox Theatre will become the Big Blue House, a place familiar to many children, for four days starting on Thursday. The popular Disney Channel program "Bear in the Big Blue House" will present the live show "A First Time for Everything" for eight performances. The show will feature all the beloved characters on the show, singing, dancing and having fun.

Clayton State to host Open Car Show

As part of the Clayton State Office of Public Safety's Anti-Violence Program, "Crime Victims' Rights... Fulfill the Promise," the University will be hosting an Open Car Show this Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Callaway Gardens offers Easter events

Callaway will host its traditional Easter festivities Saturday and Sunday, April 19-20.

Date added for 'Mockingbird'

Due to sellout numbers, Newnan Community Theatre is adding another performance of "To Kill a Mockingbird." Director Michael McClendon is absolutely thrilled by the response to this highly anticipated show. Dave Dorrell, NCTC Artistic Director, designed a set that is a terrific representation of the struggles of the 1930s as well as provides a wonderful backdrop for the action.

County library hosts music historian and performer Gary Nichols

Gary Nichols was born in New York state but has found a lot of musical success south of the Mason-Dixon line. He will bring along his guitar and wealth of musical knowledge to the Fayette County Public Library for a performance tomorrow at 7 p.m.
