Landmark goes off campus for eighth annual Madrigal Dinner

Students at Landmark Christian School have been clamoring to be a part of the 13-member Chamber Singers this year. That is because as a member of the group, one is guaranteed to a be a part of the annual Madrigal Dinner.

Offshoot's Coffee House returns for 'Celtic Christmas'

Offshoot Productions brought the Stars on the Southern crescent Coffee House to the area in 1993. Only five people showed up to the first one but eventually it grew in popularity. The coffee house was a way for people on the southside of Atlanta to see quality entertainment without traveling to Atlanta and paying a big city price for it.

Hot fashion for girls this cool season

If you remember your treasured Frye boots, fringed suede bag and patchwork denim hat, and have a young girl between the ages of 6 and 15 years old on your holiday list, this is your lucky year. Everything you wore during your own junior high or high school days is as fashionable as frosted lipstick.

Fayette Ballet preparing for "The Nutcracker"

Fayette Ballet will present three performances of "The Nutcracker" Dec. 7-8 at the Willie Duke Auditorium at Starr's Mill High School. Performances will take place at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Fayette Family YMCA offers tai chi

The Fayette Family YMCA is privileged and excited to offer Tai Chi by julie Woodbridge. Having recently moved to our community, Woodbridge has devoted the last 10 years to bringing the art of Taiji to students in China, Japan and the United States. She has competed internationally, winning bronze and silver medals in Taiji.

Local arts groups encouraged to apply for arts grants

There's still plenty of time to apply for the Grassroots Art Program (GAP) grants -- Schools and Organizations with a community arts project are encouraged to aply. Forms are available through Arts Clayton as the regranting agency for Clayton and Fayette counties, and the deadline for submitting completed applications is Dec. 13. Local artist has work on display in Conyers gallery

The art of Peachtree City native Jon Booth is currently on display in the Rockdale County Arts Center at 910 Center St. in Olde Town Conyers.

Help record Peachtree City's living history

People are needed to help volunteers document and record the living history of Peachtree City, and by doing so they can become part of that history themselves.
