Fayette Family YMCA offers tai chi The Fayette Family YMCA is privileged and excited to offer Tai Chi by julie Woodbridge. Having recently moved to our community, Woodbridge has devoted the last 10 years to bringing the art of Taiji to students in China, Japan and the United States. She has competed internationally, winning bronze and silver medals in Taiji. The class is open to men and women and Tai Chi begins with gentle, stretching exercises and shifting weight. The emphasis is on letting each person develop at his or her own pace. Tai Chi can be performed by those with disabilites or handicaps. previous classes range in age from 29-70. "One does not get too old for Tai Chi," said Woodbridge. Classes will begin Dec. 4 for a three week session and again Jan. 8 with a four week program. The class will be offered on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. at a cost of $40 per session. A YMCA membership is required for an annual fee of $25 for an individual or $35 for a family. Phone 770-719-9622.
