Century Man is Woman
By
BILLY MURPHY
Laugh Lines
We've lived in the
new millennium long enough to make some determinations, and the most
significant event to realize: Woman has become man.
Tyrone
squeaked by this time . . .
By DENNIS CHASE
Our organization,
Line Creek Association of Fayette County, has expressed our concerns
here before regarding small government's belief that they are above
the law, at least where environmental law is concerned. The town of
Tyrone has been a particularly good or is that, bad? example of this
problem.

I'd like to make

Thank you, Cal Beverly

advantage of this opportunity to exchange ideas and stay informed during
this very important election.
Saying
grace publicly is unbiblical?
[The] Rev. John
Hatcher demonstrates a relatively shallow view of the Bible in his citation
of Christ's admonition not to pray on street corners to justify his
opinion that grace ought not be said in public. .

voted on one contract, Mayor signed another
Over the past weeks,
there have been comments in the local newspapers questioning my ethics
and character. I think it is appropriate to respond so that I may correct
misstatements and misrepresentations. Let me summarize some significant
facts that have been reported separately but not comprehensively:
Ex-mayor
seeks public hearing on contract flap
I have been following
the actions of Mayor Brown and Councilmen Rapson, Tennant and Weed relative
to the Airport and Development authorities with a growing sense of anger.
My anger stems not from the fact that this flock of incompetents has
been accusing me of doing something illegal, invalid, dishonest and
totally unethical. Heck, Brown has been doing that to me for years!
If he didn't have me to whine and carp about, he pretty much wouldn't
have a life.
Column
on authority flap short on fairness, balance
I would like to
thank Jeff Ellis for his letter to your newspaper. I would also like
to assure him there are Christians in Fayette County who know and love
gays and lesbians. Christians like myself, m who believe that homosexuals
have an equal share in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.
Watch
out, PTC council is spending recklessly
A few issues ago
a letter writer wrote a letter stating that although he didn't attend
Peachtree City Council meetings, the mayor and council were doing a
good job.

I would like to
address the claim of biased reporting made by Regina Riddle regarding
the Jim Watson case.
