Two words for graduates: Be bold!

"Let no one look down upon your youthfulness" was the counsel that one spiritual sage gave to a younger follower of Jesus Christ. He added, "... but speech, conduct, love, faith, purity, show yourself an example of those who believe" (1 Timothy 4:12). That's as good advice as any I could give the graduating seniors of 2002.

Holy Trinity will host outdoor community Mass Sunday

Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City will have its annual outdoor Community Mass celebrating Trinity Sunday this Sunday, May 26, at 8:30 a.m., at the Fred Brown Amphitheater in Peachtree City. The Mass also is a continuation of the celebration of Fr. John Walsh's 25th year of ordination. Walsh, pastor of Holy Trinity, was ordained June 12, 1977. The event is a joint effort of all organizations at Holy Trinity and is coordinated by the Women of Faith.

Christian City will host national fitness event for seniors May 29

Christian City will serve as the official host site for metro Atlanta seniors to gather for the ninth annual National Senior Health and Fitness Day, Wednesday, May 29. An estimated 150,000 seniors at 1,500 sites across the nation will walk, dance, play and learn steps to improve their fitness and health. Last year, 150 seniors attended the free local event, and Christian City is expecting more than 200 seniors this year.

Abundant Life Worship Center to host special program Sunday

Abundant Life Worship Center will host a special Memorial Day weekend church service for veterans entitled, "Honoring Our Heroes," Sunday May 26, at 10:45 a.m. All military, law enforcement and public safety personnel are invited to attend in uniform and will be honored through special patriotic music.
