Abundant Life Worship Center to host special program Sunday Abundant Life Worship Center will host a special Memorial Day weekend church service for veterans entitled, "Honoring Our Heroes," Sunday May 26, at 10:45 a.m. All military, law enforcement and public safety personnel are invited to attend in uniform and will be honored through special patriotic music. Featured Gospel musician Lauren Ataway, of Destin, Fla., formerly of Fayetteville, will sing a medley of her own songs as well as patriotic music selections. Ataway was nominated Female Vocalist of the Year for Gospel Music in 1999 and has been featured on TBN, Gospel Music Television and Atlanta Live. A special guest speaker, a Ground Zero relief worker during the weeks following Sept. 11, also will address the congregation and tell his story. The Tyrone Fire Dept. will have a fire truck on the premises for the children to view. Abundant Life Worship Center is at 1960 Ga. Hwy. 74 South north of Tyrone.
