EMC to build new headquarters

Coweta-Fayette Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) President and CEO Michael Whiteside announced the cooperative's purchase of a 73-acre tract of land in North Coweta County. The utility company will construct its multi-story corporate headquarters and operations facility just off Exit 56 at the corner of Weldon and Collinsworth Roads.

County gives strong showing at region meet

The McIntosh boys cross country team won the region championship last week, building momentum heading into the state meet this weekend. Starr's Mill's boys placed fourth, Fayette County's boys placed fifth and East Coweta finished ninth.
