White Supremacists meet in peachtree city???

So, i have recently been made aware of an organization named SCCD (Southern Center for Caucasian Development). They meet at the Bethlehem Baptist Church. Why would the church sponsor a thing like that? They advertise on a message board called "stormfront.org" a major white supremacist website. What should i do to oppose this sort of thing.

*edit - the group advertises on stormfront, not the church.

White supremacists and neo-Nazi hate groups plan to take advantage of the anti-tax “Tea Parties” set to occur in more than 1,000 cities and localities over the July 4 holiday weekend to disseminate racist fliers and other materials and attempt to recruit others to their cause, according to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).

ADL’s Center on Extremism, which monitors extremist groups and provides information to law enforcement and the public, has released information on its Web site describing the attempt by white supremacists to co-opt the anti-tax message of the events as a means to spread racism and anti-Semitism.

On Stormfront, the most popular white supremacist Internet forum, members have discussed becoming local organizers of the “Tea Parties” and finding ways to involve themselves in the events. Many racists have voiced their intent to attend these rallies for the purpose of cultivating an “organized grassroots White mass movement,” with some suggesting that they would do so without openly identifying themselves as racists.
GET OUT OF PTC!!!

Submitted by pomsmom on Sat, 07/04/2009 - 2:03pm.

I hope these people will do more than just get out of PTC. They need to go to an uninhabited island somewhere and start their own country. The United States of America that I love has no place for these kinds of people. I Think we pay too much tax no matter who we are. I am a member of the TEA PARTY and it is nothing more than a group of people who feel they have been taxed to the max and are tired and broke. I have been screaming for the IRS to please get off my back long before Obama was elected. We have tightened our belts until we are choking to death!! I hope this group of lunatics won't spoil our message with violence and stupidity. I pray that I will be able to sort them out from the good guys. Please pray with us. Thank You

Take a look around. Ga ha always had blacks and whites. However; the tides have turned in recent years due to the economic upturn in the housing market making housing not only accessable to lower income minorities, but also available to Northern minorities who sold their more expensive homes in the north, to be out-right homeowners in HOTLANTA. This is why I am moving to a better area of the country soon.

to oppose us. Nothing. We aren't going to come after you, the individual. Now, if you are in control of an organization, and discriminate against whites, we will have a problem with you, but otherwise, why would you want to stop us? We don't hate skin color, we hate bad ideas. And that goes for both sides of the fence. Email me if you want to find out anything, you found my address. And the church is an all black church and didn't sponsor anything, I just asked for and recieved permission to gather on the grounds one Friday.

It sure is great to check on this blog site every 6 months or so to see that the same old recycled and regurgitated swamp water is being spewed by those who choose continue to use the past as their reason for the now, even when the now is already 1000 years from the past. I am sure that Matt understood (as would any 6th grader today) why the NAACP was formed and why there were black colleges formed. The pure injustices and incontovertible brutality that was leveled against black Americans through the mid-20th century cannot be defended. However, through the hard works and blood of patriots of all colors, that all started really changing in the 1960's. There WAS a need for good people to band together against evil, and for the federal govenment to likewise engage. With the election of the first Afro-Caucasian president in the 21st century, and the overall rise in economic and politcal power of African Americans (and minorities of all ethnicities), many of the Caucasian stripe now wonder that if we have not yet reached 'equality', when will we ever? Equality in life, liberty, and the pusuit of hapiness is all that is inalianable. No founder ever suggested that all would be equal in income, only that all should have the right to legally pursue wealth and hapiness. Is it any wonder, with Affirmative Action and racial quotas STILL the order of the day, that white people are asking questions? Just as those of you who marched against injustice (and those of us who as children challenged even our fathers on their choice of euphamisms), so that your children and their children would no longer bear the yoke of oppression, do not at all act alarmed when white people learn the lessons of your stategies and likewise form groups to ensure that our children and their children are not forced to take up that yoke that you have shed, only to be borne by them. The cure to the 'broad brush' racism that we all want to see end is the discontinuation of all affirmative action for any group and the state sponsorship of anti-majority rules. We are as equal today as we ever will be. Continuation of such divisive practices will only breed renewed strife. Its time to stop blaming the white boss man, or the white cop, or the white judge, or the white politician because it is just as likely that he (or she) is not white.

Great comment - full of hope. Let's start with identifying newborn Americans as Americans - and not by the color of their skin. This may be a good start. What do you think?

Its time to stop blaming the white boss man, or the white cop, or the white judge, or the white politician because it is just as likely that he (or she) is not white.

Authority figures come in all colors in America - and the color of one's skin does not necessarily denote their 'race'. Equality is not the operating word for success - the operating word in 2009 is 'opportunity'. Many of our younger generation (regardless of skin color) lack the educational, parental, and spiritual support necessary to take advantage of the opportunities that our democracy offers.

It would be wonderful if every fifth or sixth grader had a good understanding of our American history - but the program, 'Are you smarter than a fifth grader' gives us a hint of some of the failures of our educational system. (As well as some of the skits from the Jay Leno show).

Cannot get my head around getting rid of state sponsorship of anti-majority rules. Care to give some examples?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Equal rights should mean equal. If black people are allowed to have a group whose sole mission is to look out for the rights and well being of black people then why can't white people have the same. Being white and being proud of who you are and where you came from doesn't automatically make you a racist and it certainly doesn't make you a white supremicist.

There is an all black college in Atlanta. Are there any all white colleges? Why is that ok?

Submitted by FayetteFlyer on Fri, 06/12/2009 - 12:19pm.

I've read many of your posts and thought you a decent enough person. Certainly you can't be this shallow! First, you need to enlighten yourself to the reasons why Black colleges and universities were founded at all. As an alum of the college you speak of, I can assure you that it's open to anyone wanting to enroll. Why there aren't more whites attending, well you'd have to conduct your own survey to find out. Blacks have no market niche in exclusivity.

Submitted by jaapmarx on Wed, 06/17/2009 - 4:59pm.

Being a decent person has nothing to do with your views on race. Next, it is true, whites do need an organization, a serious one, that isn't focused on hate but on the valor and virtue of the white people.

Now, I am the founder of and Director of the Department of Research for the SCCD that has been so debated the past few days. As of now, myself and the other officers are all pursuing our current objective decided upon at the last meeting; fund raising. To that end, we are all working in various fields to put together some more money for our empty coffers. We are a new organization, so we need some cash before we start out. But before you start calling us "racists" or any other hate associated epithet, we really and truely only aim at helping caucasian people, not terrorizing or attacking others. In fact, if you look at our website, which hasn't been updated for months now because, frankly, I am just too busy, it says we will offer positions WITHIN our organization to those of non-caucasian descent! I myself have been involved with African-Americans on some of the most intimate levels, from romantically to familial. My own nephew is biracial and I love him more than my own brother! So, take it easy with the race nonsense.

The fact is, yes, the NAACP, the Zionists, and other such programs have existed for a while to advance the agendas of people of other persuasions. But did you watch how fast someone took our harmless notice and blew it up, way out of proportion? Are we, as caucasians, not also allowed to look after our own? I welcome all participation from all comers, white or black, and the use of the Stormfront website was only because of this precise reason! Had I posted an entry on here at the Citizen, people would have done this exact same thing and become divisive. At least the Stormfront community also wants caucasian unity. White unity and pride is not a crime nor a bad thing. I don't want slaves, I don't want racial tension, I just want to make sure that we aren't left in the dust because we are so disjointed. And it has already began to happen! Affirmative action, the economic meltdown, are these things totally unrelated? Perhaps, but it still does beg the question. When a company has to "diversify" and cannot hire the best person for the job, is that not the same, even worse because it is now a POLICY especially for government jobs, as the discrimination exacted against others in the past?

Anyhow, you can see the Southern Center for Caucasian Development's paltry website from the link listed below and on it, you will find my email address. If you want to write me to call me names in private or to find out when our next get together is, feel free. But do not, for one more minute, think that we are some country bumpkin racists who just hate because it's all we know.

C-A-U-C-A-S-I-A-N.

The term Caucasian race (also Caucasoid or Europid) has been used to denote the general physical type of some or all of the indigenous populations of Europe, North Africa, the Horn of Africa, West Asia, Central Asia and South Asia.

Historically, the term has been used to describe the entire population of these regions, without regard necessarily to skin tone. In common use, the term is sometimes restricted to Europeans and other lighter-skinned populations within these areas, and may be considered equivalent to the varying definitions of white people.

The concept of a Caucasian race was developed around 1800. Today some scholars reject the concept because human genome studies have not demonstrated a precise genetic definition of Caucasian.

If black people are allowed to have a group whose sole mission is to look out for the rights and well being of black people then why can't white people have the same.

Groups of 'black' people were formed because they were not allowed to integrate with groups of 'white' people. White people always had their 'white' groups - whatever the purpose. Historically, 'black' people were not allowed to join the 'white' groups. This is history - and part of the legacy of 'segregation' is separate racial groups. The NAACP was organized because the 'separate but equal' policy was found to be 'un-equal' by the Supreme Court of the United States. (This statement is not accurate. Maybe Matt would like to look up the organization of the NAACP - and correct me) Blacks did not start this craziness.

There is an all black college in Atlanta. Are there any all white colleges?

Most of the 'Historically Black Colleges' are in the south - with some of the most well known colleges in Atlanta. (There is more than one.) These colleges now accept students from all races - but are still predominantly 'black'. Colleges that were formally all white in the south - are now integrated - but still predominantly 'white'.

Students and members of groups over the years have developed a pride in their school/organization - and do not care to give up their pride or membership in the organization. As long as the organization operates under the laws of the United States - and does not segregate or discriminate on the basis of race, gender, sexual preference, or religion - they are legal. There are - and always have been - white members of the NAACP. In some states, the NAACP has acted on the behalf of people of color - even if they weren't black. Being proud of who you are is more than commendable - and certainly you should never be considered racist because of your pride.

I thank you for that. After all someone who commented on your post didn't know that Spelman College is an all woman college in Atlanta.

I saw the news story last year about the young who was the Morehouse Validictorian, and it was great coverage. He made history. He was a very proud Morehouse man.
I had been away from this blog site for a long time, because of some of the shocking things I would read. Sometimes it is very ugly indeed. For the most part there are very good discussions here and stories told that all can relate to. Maybe I will stay for a while.

It is difficult, but don't reply to those who are not interested in a discussion. There are many here who disagree with some of our statements - but do so in an intelligent manner. Earlier, I made the mistake of responding with the same venom that was expressed. It doesn't work. I've had the opportunity to listen to those whose views are totally right of center on most issues. I've learned from their comments - even though I don't agree. Just maybe someone has learned from those who are more moderate in their views. At least they have been exposed to a different point of view. I do hope that they are telling the truth about their lack of knowledge of the black community that has been in Georgia since before the founding of this country. I do find it strange that there is a refusal to acknowledge those who have survived a segregated situation, and achieved! I must say that for the past six years - I have never personally come in contact with any person in Fayetteville or Peachtree City who manifests or expresses some of the hateful comments/ideas that have been expressed on this blog. Welcome!

What do you mean by predominently black?

90%;95%;99%--or one in a thousand? How about races other than white?

Could you comment on why so many black youngsters break-in and rob so much?
Do they have any "home rules" for at least the night-time?
Why does the "home" lose them almost entirely at a very early age?
Not many in-house Fathers, I know, but even the poor Grandmothers who suffer from this have no authority except right in the house.

Blacks are 15%, whites and others are 85%---yet the breakins and robberies crime are commited by 60-65% blacks.

Now if you want to talk big-time intelligent crime, that is just the opposite!! Banks, Wall Street, etc., are 85% of them.

On the other hand the big cities run by black mayors, etc., are also corrupt for the most part. White governors, etc., have their problems but a much lesser percentage.

Is there a money or heritage difference here that needs correction
For instance why would Atlanta schools cheat on the CRCT test for students who can not pass the tests?
Wouldn't the problem get resolved sooner if we knew honestly the scores?

Why must a predominently black college, city, business, school district always have to have a black administrator? Does this always help?

There are more black administrators in white management than white in black! Why?

Thx for the history lesson. I understand why the NAACP exists. I think you are naive if you think white people are treated fairly at schools like Morehouse. But anyway, a few funny stories:

TODAY, my brother went to lunch at a restaurant in ATL outside the apartment complex he was about to sign a lease at. The waitress told him he was not welcome to live on that block. Guess why?

LAST YEAR, My fiancée’s sister's boyfriend rented a house in a black neighborhood in Decatur. His place was broken into 4x in a month. Other neighbors didn't have this problem. Why not?

I don't hold a grudge against black people. But when will it be ok for white people to call BULLS***t and defend ourselves. (I said defend, not attack)

My daughter and her husband moved into a black neighborhood in KC, MO about 4 years ago. Yes, they were burglarized, but it was not because they were white. It was because they didn’t have good locks on their doors. They’re trusting souls, but they’ve since remedied that as per the advice of the police and have installed both extra and heavy duty locks. They live in a very old neighborhood; their house was built, I believe, in 1908 and it looks very much like a Sears bungalow kit home. The rest of the homes in the neighborhood are very similar, if not exactly the same. They know their neighbors and they watch out for each other. They’ve not had any “racial” type problems nor encountered any prejudice from their neighbors. Perhaps that particular type of behavior exists in the areas that you mentioned because some people have too much free time on their hands and no other worries? The kids were here over Memorial Day weekend and my son-in-law joked about the headlines on the Citizen.....Senoia graffiti artist charged with vandalism and the police take-back Tinseltown. He laughed because their headlines usually read something like....severed head found in local park. Apparently there are bigger issues in KC to worry about then extracting some sort of racial revenge on your neighbors. They both grew up in Fayette County and went to Fayette County schools, and that says a lot about our community and our ability to foster the notion that people are people and it’s all about values, not skin color. Atlantans must not be as progressive as they claim to be!!

Blacks and whites marched, protested, legislated so that actions that you described are illegal. (Before the 60's - this type of treatment was considered 'just the way it is' - and tolerated.) You and women and anyone have the right to protest this treatment under the law! I, as an old, black woman - still encounter ignorance and prejudice and criminal actions. I don't tolerate it anymore. Investigate the legal avenues that have been opened to all Americans. Use them. (Get a good lawyer first - or good free legal advise) By the way - the past student body president of Morehouse was a white student. He was an honor student in high school - and SELECTED MOREHOUSE for college. He is now working on Wall Street - successfully! Don't ever assume anything about race relations today. Race relations are different for individuals - and should be judged on an individual basis. Race relations are often generalized based on statistics – but individuals, black and white, have progressed beyond ‘statistics’. There are white professors at Morehouse who are treated with respect and dignity - because that is how they treat their students. I believe you regarding 'black' people - but remember there are many 'black' people who suffered indignities at the hands of SOME white people - and thanks to leaders like MLK - have not blamed all 'white' people for those ignorant actions. Matt - don't judge all 'black' people based on the actions of those who continue to exhibit ignorance.

Remember last year there was a bit of a stink at Spelman (i think) because they were graduating a white valedictorian? I think that even raising an eyebrow is a sad state of affairs.

We need to get away from our obsession with ethnic division. That really goes for all sides. Should a NAACP still exist? Are organizations that hold the ethnic over all other considerations an impediment to progress? Is the government now an effective watchdog for civil rights as OSHA has taken the role of safety away from the Unions?
I am not convinced that racism is the chief problem within the Black community as a whole. I see a disdain for education and scholastic achievement being the long term problem holding the community down. Throw in a high illegitimacy rate and a lack of fathers in the home and that is the long term problem in my humble opinion.

Submitted by Davids mom on Fri, 06/12/2009 - 8:15am.

There was a great deal of pride in the 'black' community because of the Valedictorian and student body president at Morehouse. (He was white) I don't remember any 'stink' in either the community papers or the main media. Spelman refused to have RJ Kelly perform at their school because of his treatment of black women in his videos. Maybe that is the 'stink' you're referring to? Organizations within the 'black' community are aware of the problems that you have correctly identified. What is discouraging is that these problems are manifesting themselves in the 'white' community - and among the celebrity role models in the media. It is difficult to combat a problem when it becomes 'stylish' via the media and lifestyles of celebrities. I believe the NAACP needs to exist to develop and provide educational programs for people of color. I believe the NAACP needs to exist and join other organizations to stamp out ignorance and continued mistreatment of fellow citizens - regardless of color. Ethnic divisions will exist as long as this country continues to identify children at birth by their race instead of their nationality. (Does your birth certificate identify you as an American?) To say the 'black' community has disdain for education and scholastic achievement is using a broad brush, when our former leader extolled 'C' average as an achievement. I don't feel all 'whites' feel that way - and certainly not the parents in Fayette County who demand excellence from teaching staff and the children who matriculate in Fayette County. I have been guilty of using a broad brush - and that is one thing that I have learned in the past three years participating on a blog with predominantly conservative/Republican contributors. It is not accurate to paint a group of Americans with a 'broad brush' regarding an issue because of their political/racial label.

Submitted by Davids mom on Fri, 06/12/2009 - 8:42am.

You're right. There was some stink from those who are ignorant - both black and white. . .but Morehouse administration lived up to the words of MLK - and honored a young man who worked hard, overcame obstacles, and achieved. That should be the American story for all Americans - regardless of their color - right?

Morehouse College Will Graduate Its First White Valedictorian

On Sunday Morehouse College will graduate the first white valedictorian in its 141-year history — Joshua Packwood, who maintained a 4.0 grade-point average at the all-male, historically black college, and who has already accepted a job offer from Goldman Sachs.

Mr. Packwood, who grew up in a poor neighborhood in Kansas City, Mo., told CNN that he had attended a predominantly black high school, and that trouble in his own family led him to live for a time with the family of a black friend. He turned down a full scholarship to Columbia University to attend Morehouse because he had become interested in African-American studies.

He said his experience at the college had been overwhelmingly good, and CNN described him as popular among his classmates. But he said some students — even some of his friends — were unsettled by the idea of his becoming Morehouse’s valedictorian.

“I think some of our alumni are a little nervous” about Mr. Packwood’s having earned the honor, said Sterling Hudson, the college’s dean of admissions. The administration, however, has embraced Mr. Packwood’s achievement, mentioning him in the second paragraph of its graduation news release.

“Mr. Packwood is deserving — he has earned this,” says Robert Franklin, the college’s president, in a CNN video clip. “We are committed to merit, to hard work — no matter who it might be.” —Lawrence Biemiller

So it was Morehouse, good to know. The week of that graduation, all four local news programs brought up the story of some people (I am sure a small minority) of people having a problem with it. I wasn't making it up. The fact that it even made the news is sad. And I do not intend to paint with a broad brush anyone, but what do you really think is holding young black people down? I do not see it as pervasive racism. I see that a black person is far more likely to be criminally oppressed by another black person, than any other demographic. I wish that solving that problem was the NAACP's chief mission, but maybe it is and there is no publicity around it.

I agree that the attitudes of scholastic indifference or hostility transcends demographics and has affected the lower economic strat of society. The NAACP exists as an advocacy for a demographic group. When we choose as a society to segregate ourselves and promote and advocate one group, hostility fomrs and an us vs them culture is perpetuated. When do you think that advocacy for one group can become advocacy for all?

And I do not intend to paint with a broad brush anyone, but what do you really think is holding young black people down? I do not see it as pervasive racism.

Nor do I or the groups that I work with. (See pervasive racism as the problem) During the early discussions of 'race' under the Clinton administration - progress was being made by some integrated discussion groups - online and in home discussion groups. The online discussion groups became targets for the extremists - both black and white - and most media discontinued the online groups. The 'filth' and 'hate' communicated by both extremist groups was horrific. The 'lower strata' of society is still the marginalized minorities. Unfortunately - we have more 'volunteers' for the poor in foreign countries than we have here in the U.S. You're absolutely right about the victims of 'black crime'. Just as there has been a 'white flight' - there has been a 'middle class black flight' from blighted, poor inner city communities. There is very little publicity about those inner city communities or schools that are overcoming the 'statistics'. (I would love to discuss this with you further - and will - have to go now - late for a 9:30 appointment!)

was one of the 2 churches that was vandalized earlier this year. The worshipper's at the Bethlehem church, if what you say is accurate, may not have this information about this group. You could always contact them if you have true concerns. They would listen to what you have to say and act on it appropriately. Their church is part of Peachtree City's history and has been for many generations.

I know that they wouldn't call you names for approaching them the way some do here in "blogsville."
The FBI is still investigating as well or at least they should be. You never know what might be valuable information.

The answer is the same kind of church that would sponsor the naacp.
No dfference.!!

Whites are the minority now..thanks to welfare queens like the "octo /mom"..so they deserve their own group of people to play the race card. Thanks to the naacp for teaching us how to play the "race card". Good job y'all!

Whites are the minority now? Do you have any statistical evidence to back this up?

When one feels he/she is in the 'minority' - how quickly the shroud of victimization appears.

Skyspy sounds like just the sort of fellow this group is looking for. The guy down below, too.

Thanks for posting this information and links, jester. The best thing you can do is shine the light of day on it.

Any group that promotes a single race over another should be held accountable. When groups, regardless of which one, band together, it inevitably becomes an us versus them atmosphere. Age old hatreds come to the forefront and 4000 year old tribalism is a result. There is not a single group of people in the world who band together as a race or tribe that do not eventually develop a superiority and group hatred. I love the example of Worth's Battalion Orders. As a group of people, when we wink at, and overlook offenses from one group, but cause them to be punished in another, then we should be detested as a satire upon honor.

When you start protesting the NAACP.

WHAT WE ARE: Here at the Southern Center for Caucasian Development, or SCCD, our aim is to unify and promote a sense of pride and well-being among other Caucasian Americans. We are not a hate group, and indeed we invite all people of all races and ethnicities to this web page and any and all of our organized community events.

Without even studying up on them more in detail I have to ask; What makes them any different than the NAACP or La Raza. Go get a life you apathetic whiner.

To say the NAACP has no place in today's society is to say racism and the effects of racism have all been thoroughly eradicated.

How about spending a little more effort on finding the good in people and a lot less time pointing out the bad. This statement is directed at no one in particular--just a general statement that needed to be voiced!

You can't work to eliminate the "bad" in people until you start to recognize it! Some of the worst racists in the world are those that commit unintentional acts of racism by ignoring the fact that the "bad" exists and works to perpetuate oppression.

The truth truly does hurt, but ALL people need to come to terms with their beliefs. I believe that this organization is inherently racist because of its name and statement of purpose. As the majority group both in number and relative power in the US, Caucasians do not NEED a group like this. Society already reflects everything they work for! What Caucasians need to do IS visit NAACP meetings. Maybe you'll find out that their mission statement is--gosh--integration, not isolation from the "white man."

When are we as Americans going to learn that the time has passed dealing with Americans trying to divide one another into "sub groups"? The more energey we put into the old questions of race and gender in America means that the International community will continue to pass us by in everything that counts! Damn it we are so behind other countries when it comes to education and advancements in technology!

We can't continue to live in the past or support any group which wants us to divide our resources and energy because of race or color! Other countries could care less if you are white american or black american. They hate us equally!! Dman it stop the self destruction. If america falls believe me all groups are going down with her.
