Starving horses found on televangelist’s Fayette land

I think it is a shame that a well known televangelist like Creflo Dollar would allow a friend to keep his horses on his property and not follow up to make sure the man is taking care of them. Now there is one dead horse and another two who are in bad shape.

Mr. Dollar needs to understand that he will always be looked at under a microscope by the public and for THAT reason must do everything in his power to look spotless. The Church is already under attack without so many of the leaders doing stupid things to cause more scrutiny than normal. The news rag AJC is reporting this incident and that liberal trash rag will run away with this story.

It also makes our community look worse as well.

"The church" NEEDS to be looked at under a microsope, for it is under the guise of Christianity that many of the smooth-tongued, clean cut evangelists take unashamed advantage of the naive. Please excuse my utter lack of sympathy for "the church" when it claims tax exempt status yet inserts itself into politics; proclaims its love for humankind yet hates gays, pro-choicers, and non-Christians; and promotes Jesus's teachings without any attempts whatsoever to follow them themselves. Does anyone out there honestly think the Dollars give one whit about a horse?!

Lets go for total transparency. What about those teacher unions, police unions, fire unions, 503 3(c) organizations? Lets open them all up to scrutiny. Don't cherry pick the church without picking all of your sacred cows. Not really supporting Dollar, but the general principle of transparency.

Yes, what's a 503 3(c) organization?

Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 displays a list of organizations exempt from income taxation under section 501(a). The 503 3(c) reference by The Wedge is total nonsense.

By the way, these organizations are generally required to file IRS form 990 every year, and these 990 forms can be inspected by going to www.guidestar.com.

I think Wedge is referring to 501(c)4 organizations like moveon.org and ACORN.

I would certainly like to see more transparancy from and oversight of those two organizations. However, I'm sure there would be cries of outrage over the violation of THEIR First Amendment Rights!

I'm with you on this! If there is nothing to hide, don't hide it! There should be no secrets between any of these organizations and their stakeholders.

Aw, I'm not sure there's much that Cashflow could do to make himself any more of an embarrassment than he already is.

Why Creflo Needs His Dollars

How can you say this when you dont know the amoutn of good he does for people everywhere. at least his church doesnt go around bombing doctors helping girls with problems and assaulting these girls when they go in like many of these tea party churches do. I hope when the Democrats straighten out the economy, job, healthcare and reign in our soldiers that he will get churches straight next

Here in America we have a little thing called separation of church and State, but I guess you think Obama is going to try and change that to.
What a Dolt!

As a bonus she (of course it is a she) also supports Creflo Dollar - no doubt with her dollars.
You have people like this to thank for the direction the country is headed - right down the crapper.
