I received an exciting offer by e-mail from Bank of America yesterday. I have been pre-approved for a PLATINUM American Visa! Wow, Platinum! Eat your hearts out.

The initial APR is only 9.99% rising to 14.99% or 19.99% (depending on my creditworthiness) unless I default or pay late once then it's 23.99%. Cash advances are only 15.99%! Imagine that. What a deal! And I can transfer balances from other credit cards for a mere 3%.

Admittedly I am a little confused by footnote 1: "The Introductory APR(s) does not apply to Purchases or Cash Advances, other than Direct Deposits." The introductory APR doesn't apply to purchases? On a credit card? Hmmm. You gotta admit that's a little odd.

Anyway, if you can't get a loan from the guy above let me know, since I am such a valued customer of BOA that they would make this fabulous offer to me I'll put in a good word for you.

I want a loan that I don't have to repay.

Have you got one of those?
