Christian wins region title
Arlington Christian
School claimed the Georgia Independent Schools Association’s Region
1-AAA softball championship last week with a 4-3 win over Eagle’s
Landing Christian Academy of Henry County. The team was scheduled to
travel to Milledgeville Saturday for the first round of the state tournament.
Local
teams remain near top of state rankings
Several local volleyball
teams are hovering near the top of the state rankings as next week’s
area tournaments approach next week.
Peachtree
City Junior Golf Championship set for Oct. 18
The
Peachtree City Parks and Recreation Department will be offering its
first-ever Peachtree City Junior Golf Championship Saturday, Oct. 18,
at the Flat Creek Golf Club. Tee times will begin at noon.
Krehbiel
earns All-State honors
Clayton College
& State University sophomore Heather Krehbiel of Peachtree City
was named to the All-State cross-country team after her performance
in last week’s Georgia Collegiate Championships.
