Peachtree City Junior Golf Championship set for Oct. 18 The Peachtree City Parks and Recreation Department will be offering its first-ever Peachtree City Junior Golf Championship Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Flat Creek Golf Club. Tee times will begin at noon. The tournament is open to any Junior Golfers ages 9-18. There are eight divisions four for boys and four for girls Divisions. Girls have the option of competing in the boys division. Boys and girls aged 9-11 will compete in 9-hole stroke play for $15. Older golfers will compete in 18-hole stroke play for $25. Out-of-county competitors add $5. Trophies will be awarded. Nine-year-olds may compete if average 9-hole score is 55 or less. PGA professional of home course must verify eligibility. Age is determined by date of event. Eighteen-year-olds must be in high school. Girls division must have a minimum of five participants in each age group to compete separately, otherwise boys and girls will compete together. No caddies are permitted. Space is limited.
