Second round of state playoffs set for tonight

East Coweta, Landmark Christian and Starr's Mill all got big wins in the first round of the state playoffs. The second round games take place tonight and all three teams are hoping to continue their winning ways.

Starr's Mill swimmers take second in Conyers

The Starr's Mill swim team traveled to Conyers for their first meet of the season on Nov. 23. Both the boys and girls teams placed second overall behind Wesleyan with a combined point total of 1061 points. Wesleyan's total score was 1247. Third place went to Salem with 794 points and fourth to Rockdale County with 259.

Early part of basketball season continues

The first part of the high school basketball season continued on Tuesday night and many local teams ended up on the short end of the stick.

Local Trout Unlimited chapter reactivates in PTC

The Flint River Chapter of Trout Unlimited has been reactivated in Peachtree City, Ga. It was one of the original chapters in Georgia, ad joins the efforts of other state chapters in supporting Trout Unlimited's mission of conserving, protecting and restoring North America's trout and salmon fisheries and their watersheds.
