Bikers ride for cancer

November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month and hundreds of motorcyclists, friends and families including many from South Fulton are expected to take to the road from Suwanee to Lake Lanier and back on Saturday Nov. 2 to benefit pancreatic cancer research.

Fall leaf color arriving in Georgia

As the weather continues to cool the forests of the north Georgia mountains and surrounding areas fall color transformations will be peaking during the new few weeks, according to the Georgia Forestry Commission.

Christian City holds Fall Festival

Christian City will host its 24th annual Fall Festival on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Christian City campus. The Fall Festival, which has been a tradition since 1978, promises to be bigger and better than ever, with the addition of antiques, crafts and artisans, local entertainment and food. Proceeds from the festival benefit the Home for Children at Christian City.

Landmark gets a facelift

Landmark Christian School occupies the site of the former Campbell County High School in downtown Fairburn. The school is 1 1/2 miles from the I-85 Peachtree City/Fayetteville exit, attracting students from Fayette, Coweta, and S. Fulton counties.

Mammograms available at South Fulton Medical Center

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, South Fulton Medical Center will be providing education and mammograms to help combat one of the most deadly forms of cancer among American women.

Region 4-AAAAA lead up or grabs tonight

Things are getting interesting in high school football.

Local teams win in first round of area softball tournament

The opening round of the area 4-AAAAA softball tournament went off without a hitch and the top three seeded teams, Fayette County, Starr's Mill and McIntosh, won with few problems.
