Southern Regional
Health System announced this week that it has re-filed its application
to launch an inpatient acute rehabilitation program. The 20-bed center
would be only the second inpatient rehab facility in the Atlanta metro
area south of Interstate 20.

complete governor's honors program
Five Fulton County
students from Banneker, Creekside, Tri-Cities, and Westlake high schools
recently completed the 2002 Georgia Governor's Honors Program. The six-week
summer program, held at Valdosta State University, was designed to provide
intellectually gifted and artistically talented students opportunities
for enriching educational experiences not usually available during the
regular school year.

has been arrested for stealing pain medication from a patient at Southland
Nursing Home in Peachtree City while she worked as a certified nurse
assistant there.
