Little, fun ideas like having a word of the week may be one of the reasons the GMC is the second fastest growing junior college in the state of Georgia.

Aaron steps to the plate for Christian City

Hank Aaron will host Christian City's 7th annual Home for Children Golf Tournament at Smoke Rise Golf and Country Club May 20. The tournament benefits Christian City's Home for Children, which provides a loving, nurturing environment for nearly 65 homeless children.

EMCs learn from Wal-Mart

Fourteen of Georgia's EMCs, including Coweta-Fayette EMC, joined 150 electric co-ops from across the nation to attend energy conferences with Wal-Mart representatives in Arkansas.

Busy weekend for high school athletes

It will be a busy weekend for some of our local high school athletic teams. There will be some state quarterfinal soccer action in town Friday and Saturday, while several tennis teams, baseball teams and golf teams are also competing for a shot at a state title.

Soccer playoffs continue today

Eight local soccer teams entered the state soccer playoffs and only four of those teams remain.
