Aaron steps to the plate for Christian City
Hank Aaron will host Christian City's 7th annual Home for Children Golf Tournament at Smoke Rise Golf and Country Club May 20. The tournament benefits Christian City's Home for Children, which provides a loving, nurturing environment for nearly 65 homeless children. "I have had the privilege of being involved with the Christian City Home for Children Golf Tournament for the past two years. This year I am pleased and honored to serve as Honorary Chairman of this wonderful event," said Aaron. More than $10,000 in prizes will be awarded, and golfers can participate as individuals or as a foursome in the four-man scramble. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. A set of Ping irons will be given for first place. Prizes will be given for second and third place teams, as well as the longest drive, closest to the pin, Mulligan drawings and the hole-in-one prize from Hank Aaron BMW.
