Postseason begins for high school athletics

The regular season of high school athletics is done, as are many region tournaments. Several of our local soccer teams are playing in the state tournament, while our baseball teams are duking it out in the region this weekend to find out who is state bound and who isn't. Golf, tennis and track have also finished their region tournaments and are preparing for or already playing in the state tournaments.

The state soccer playoffs have begun and both Starr's Mill's and McIntosh's boys and girls teams have advanced to the second round, as have Newnan's Lady Cougars.
