Chiefs sweep county cross country championships

The Fayette County Cross County Championship was held at Sandy Creek High School on Tuesday afternoon and all four county high schools competed. McIntosh's girls and Fayette County's boys were the favorite to win, but anything can happen in sports.

Many repeat winners last week at Senoia Speedway

Covington's J.R. Hardy led from start to finish for his first win of the 2000 racing season in the Alan Vigil Southlake Ford 50 at Senoia Speedway Saturday evening.

PTC Classic held this Saturday

The annual Peachtree City Classic Road race, sponsored by the Peachtree city Running Club, will be run this weekend. The races, a 5K and a 15K, are open to the public and registration is still available at the pre-Race Expo on Friday, Oct. 13 at the Wyndham Peachtree Executive Conference Center.
