Christ Our Shepherd to celebrate 25 years June 18

With nostalgia, music, and—of course—food, members of Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church will celebrate a quarter century of service to Peachtree City and the surrounding community.

Johnson to speak at Christ the King this Sunday

Father Mark Johnson of Sharpsburg will preach this Sunday, June 11, Pentecost Sunday, at Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church in Peachtree City. Johnson, who serves as the Vicar of Church of the Good Shepherd in Milledgeville and as Curate for Christ the King, is a graduate of Lee University, Trinity School of Ministry, and is nearing completion of a master's program at St. Michael's Seminary. A law enforcement chaplain, he was an ordained minister in the Assemblies of God for 10 years prior to being ordained to the priesthood in 1996. He and his wife, Natalie, have three children. Christ the King Church currently meets in the chapel of Carmichael-Hemperley funeral home in Peachtree City, but recently purchased 11.5 acres of land on Ga. Hwy. 34 in Coweta County. The service this Sunday starts at 10 a.m.

Fayetteville Pentecostal Church makes plans for Pentecost Sunday celebration

Fayetteville United Pentecostal Church is gearing up to celebrate Pentecost Sunday on June 11 at 2 p.m. The church, founded in March of 1996, is affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI).

Olivet Baptist Church plans annual revival June 26-30

The entire south metro community is invited to attend the Annual Revival at Olivet Baptist Church of Christ in Fayetteville. The event is scheduled for the week of June 26-30 at 7 p.m. nightly. Sheltons celebrate 50th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Shelton of Fayetteville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, June 4, 2000, with a brunch at Ray's on the River in Marietta. The brunch was attended by family and close friends.
