Fayetteville Pentecostal Church makes plans for Pentecost Sunday celebration

Fayetteville United Pentecostal Church is gearing up to celebrate Pentecost Sunday on June 11 at 2 p.m. The church, founded in March of 1996, is affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI).

“Most area churches will observe Pentecost Sunday,” said Pastor N.J. Gividen. “Not many of them are actually Pentecostal,” he added with a smile.

Church members are extending an invitation to friends to attend this special service, asking them to sign a commitment card for that day's attendance.

“This is not about the number of people in attendance on Pentecost Sunday,” said Gividen. “It's about reaching out to people in this community and letting them know that God is alive and well—and still in the business of redemption and deliverance.”

The church is located on Ga. Hwy. 85 in the Fayette Place Plaza behind Mrs. Winner's. For more information, call 770-719-3995 or 770-304-9892.
