Cornerstone men's group plans breakfast at Shoney's

The men of Cornerstone Bible Church in Fayetteville will have breakfast at Shoney's Saturday, June 17 at 8 a.m.

RECC youth to sponsor car washes

The youth groups at River's Edge Community Church have scheduled three car washes during the month of June to raise funds for missions. Car washes are planned for Saturdays on June 17 and June 24 at Taco Bell and Mrs. Winner's in Fayetteville.

`Spirit Bound' to present musical at Christ Our Hope

Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church will host the musical group “Spirit Bound,” from Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Apple Valley, Minn., in a performance of “Embracing Grace,” Sunday, June 18, at both worship services. The group is composed of 65 youth and adults. The Sunday performances will be preceded by a potluck supper Saturday evening. RECC youth present dessert theater

The Rock Solid Youth Ministry 24/7 Drama Team of River's Edge Community Church will once again present a dessert theater on Friday, June 16 at 7:30 p.m. The feature presentation will be “The Mysterious Benefactor.” Tickets are $5 per person, $15 per family of four, $20 per family of six, with no admission charge for children under the age of six. Bethany ladies plan to ride the “Hooch”

FFBC will have Parents' Day Out program in July

Parents with children age six weeks through third grade (completed) are invited to enroll their children in the Parents' Day Out program at the Fayetteville First Baptist Church, scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 6-27, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The cost is $70. March for Jesus 2000 set for this Saturday

South Metro Christians of all denominations will participate in the third annual March for Jesus this Saturday, June 10 at 10 a.m. Participants should assemble in the parking lot of Fayette County High School off Tiger Trail.All churches are encouraged to provide an entry. Peachtree City UMC announces new worship schedule

Members of Peachtree City United Methodist Church have begun a new schedule of services for the summer months. Worship services are now offered at 9, 10:10 and 11:11 a.m. each Sunday. Summer Sunday School classes meet at 10:10 only. The church is located on the corner of Windgate Rd. and Peachtree Parkway.

Fayette Assembly plans `Hang Time' for youth

Fayette Assembly of God invites all youth in the area to a Youth Hang Time on Thursdays, June 8 and 15, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. For youth 12 years of age and up, the event will offer games, music, food and fellowship. RECC celebrates 9th anniversary June 11

Members of River's Edge Community Church will celebrate their ninth anniversary on Sunday, June 11 with dinner-on-the-grounds. Those attending are asked to bring a meal fully prepared, including drinks, and lawn chairs. Dinner will be served on a long table under the roof of the church's future worship center. The church will provide tables, plates, napkins and utensils.

Linus Project is focus of quilting gathering at Bethany

The ladies of Bethany United Methodist Church will meet on Wednesday, June 14 at 10 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall to make small quilts and pillows for the Linus Project, an organization that makes and collects quilts from all over the country to give to terminally ill cancer patients. Those planning to participate are asked to bring a salad.

Providence kids invited to see “Cinderella'

Providence United Methodist Church invites its children through fifth grade to enjoy a trip to the Center For Puppetry Arts to see “Cinderella” on Friday, June 16.
