Mel Gibson or Harold Logsdon

Gibson got the double whammy with a DUI and some anti-Semitic quotes. He's the guy who put together a blockbuster about Jesus, a Jew, in the original language and then goes 180 degrees and lets the hate words fly.

Logsdon, a regular at the Y-Knot bar, is getting the double whammy himself, but no DUI (yet). You would think that this guy would learn something former President George Herbert Walker Bush. Remember, “Read my lips …” Logsdon even had former mayors Joel Cowan and Fred Brown, both yellow dog Democrats, crowing about his financial wizardry.

Like the elder Bush, Logsdon used the bold language and gave his personal guarantee on taxes. We are now witnessing a man falling flat on his face after tripping on his own tongue.

The second one for Logsdon is the developer payback syndrome. He tried to run the sewer to Coweta County, and came up with lots of excuses to do it at the council meeting. He was successful with running the sewer into unincorporated Fayette. Now Group VI wants him to annex their lot near Starr’s Mill High School. He started off gung-ho for a huge annexation on the westside of the city but has hit some bumps in the road.

Both Gibson and Logsdon can get saucy and both would be better off keeping their mouths closed. Gibson is every woman’s dream and Logsdon has the personality of a large sack of rocks. Gibson is heading to rehab and Logsdon will be there soon if the local developers don’t stop putting annexations and apartment rezonings on the council agenda for him.

Every woman I've spoken to chooses Mel over Harold, except one. The exception happens to be a geologist.

Well, let’s see. Both drink and drive. Bernie Mac gets the DUI on concert night and Logsdon gets to cruise home in his Ranger. Mel apparently has them both beat in the potty mouth department.

Mel is asking people for help and assistance. People are asking Harold for help and assistance. Harold is making a career out of the sewer. Mel’s career is going down the sewer.

Harold is too busy hooking up TDK-New Jersey Blvd into Coweta County too even notice the tax issue or the crime wave on the cart paths. All that matters to him is that he git 'er done for Westmoreland and Group VI and PCDC.

You know what is unbelievable— any one of the other candidates for Mayor would have been better than poor old Harold.

Unless I've been under a rock, folks have been clamoring for this for a while. Now folks are complaining about it happening. You can't please everyone I guess.

I was not clear. Not the road, which turned into some kind of political game with him.

The rest of Logsdon's action is what I meant.

So, even in continuing what he did not start, he managed to turn it into someting weird.

I agree Dawg. 74 between 54 and Crosstown is ridiculous at 5 pm. This road would help a lot. As well as provide a way to Newnan other than the pass through at the Ave. We need this road.
