PTC Guy's picture

I would like some opinions on the Board of Education candidates before I nail down last two remaining votes.

Any opinons on'em?

Believing that it must have been a mistake I'll post it again and see what happens. I was asked if I had an opinion on the State House race. My response was: I do but not one I'm willing to argue. On that one I'm just going to vote and keep my mouth shut about it.

I had to log back in for posting that. Why would I be booted for that? We're all just having fun the night before the election.

Your time was up. When that happens just log back in and then hit your "back" arrow until you find your posting and re-submit it. It's a timing thing. PTC Guy will surely give you the technical details.

PTC Guy can easily go over my head. That's all I needed to know.

You login. A session is begun. There is a time limit you cannot exceed without changing pages.

Hit that limit and your session is terminated and you get booted.

ONLY changing pages will restart the session. Scrolling, typing and so on will not.

There is also a revalidation issue. Every time you change pages your IP must be revalidated to however many digits it is set for.

Some ISPs, such as AOL, can bounce you from one Gateway computer to another, thus changing too many digits and you are bounced.

Finally, if the bandwith gets 'stressed' to much, the database or server can screw up and misread you. Bounced.

Not one simple answer to give. Such are the things of life and forums.

Some things in Admin could be reset to stop a lot of the getting bounced.

PTC Guy is the MAN when it comes to all this techno babble stuff. Is he good or what. This is proof enough as to why Cal keeps him on the payroll and gives him the big bucks.

After this I need a pay raise.

more than I wanted to. I blame the time limit thing on Highgreen. You try and edit your (you're ) work so Highrgeen doesn't ding you and before you know it you get booted. Highgreen, I'm not taking your s*&t anymore. Boot me for that and I'll feel good about it. I'm going to write without editing my post.

Being sloppy has probably always been your way. Most of us are in a relaxed mood, in person, where we can see someone's attitude and make corrections on the spot, but to do so in printed form, only Mark Twain can get away with that! I don't ding anyway. Aren't you even interested in being correct in your written grammar?

bad grammar that makes sense then perfect construction that babbles on, saying nothing.

Could be.

Introducting overloads and malicious codes to the server will blow you out. Laughing out loud

I have noticed that hitting the edit button too many times, in an short period of time, will blow you off.

Lee had this post with no opposition. Why the sudden interest by Faith?

I am glad to see the posting on Faith..I am hesitant about candidates from North Fayette because usually that means democrat...If she is a long time Fayette resident..why aren't her signs down in the south county???? I am avoiding the carpetbaggers from Clayton and Fulton..

I'm not just saying that because it has been insinuated tonight that I might be racist, I said it last night too. Regardless of her race Faith Hardnett is loved by everyone who has ever met her. Not liked, loved. If ever there was the time to elect the first black candidate in Fayette County's history this is the time. I heard it all day today.

for the information. Got an opinion on the House vote?

I met her last year - I interviewed her as she was retiring - and found her to be everything that everyone says she is. She is a warm, caring person with the best interests of the children and teachers always in mind.

I also found out that she was at McIntosh when my sister went there. She fondly remembered my sister and was glad to hear about her success. I have the feeling that she remembers just about everybody she has come into contact with in her long career in education and will be a boon to the Board if she is elected.

Hopefully the people of the county won't blow this opportunity.

Meaning: Faith Hardnett & Frank Oakley - they have the voice of reason and common sense on their side, which is sorely needed in the FCBOE.

I LOVE Faith!!! She has the MOST experience than any of the others running. And she has been in the Fayette County Schools longer than anyone I know. I first met her at Fayette County High School in 1981 when I attended high school. Then my children had her as a principle. She is a very warm and caring person who knows education in this county!!!!!! MY VOTE IS FOR FAITH!!!!!!!

I don't comment often (more of a lurker here), but as a former Fayette resident, I am a fan of Faith H. as well. If I was still living there, I'd definitely vote for her.

I hope that is her first name I think it is. The kids seem to like her a lot. That is always a good sign to me.

For what it's worth, I too have heard that Faith Hardnett is the way to go.

Faith is a very nice person. She has been in Fayette County a long time and knows education. She has my thumbs up too!
