Teenager shot in Centennial Subdivision

Sometime during the early morning hours, a 17 year old was shot in the Centennial Subdivision. According to WSB TV news, he was air lifted to the Atlanta Medical Center.

What I want to know is why this newspaper hasn't posted anything, and I mean anything; on this?

A shooting in Peachtree City isn't newsworthy enough? How about it John and Cal, what gives?

Dkinser, get a life! Did you expect an instant update? As tragic as the death was, we could at least wait a few hours to get the facts and details before the family read about it in the news media!

I've only lived here a short while. Where is Centennial?

Take MacDuff Parkway to the end and you'll see the Centennial Subdivision. It is actually broken up into 4 sections at the moment. Two are townhome areas, a section called The Manor, and the other is the main body of Centennial.

This type of crime, shooting; is very unusual for Peachtree City and does not reflect upon the character of the majority of homeowners in this community.

Pay the neighborhood a visit and you'll most likely like what you see.

WSB says the shooting happened at 415 Constitution Circle. That's the road that backs up to the railroad tracks. It's across from the Shell station and Mellow Mushroom pizza.

Here is the WSB webcast (3rd story)

My kids somehow knew all about the shooting. The kid who got shot did not live there. He got shot in the chest/stomach area and is expected to survive.

The news announced the boy died from the wounds.

My sympathies for what the families will go through in the aftermath of this.
