Smola and Lee; At it Again!

For those of you living in Tyrone, you must voice your opposing views to those elected officials not complying with the citizen’s requests. This week’s council meeting was just another example that 3 of the 5 don’t care as they have their own agenda.

The first issue to address is Triangle Park. Development of this site is supposedly being donated to Tyrone by local developers at the direction of Councilman Smola (or appears to be). The first is issue is that Smola granted permission to begin the project. When did Smola become mayor of this town? I have been attending council meetings for several years and have never once heard a statement from the Mayor Lee to begin work. A decent mayor would manage the project and ensure its completion. It appears that Smola controls this project. The other issue is that the “donated” work is ignoring Shamrock Park. Why would you create a second park only 500 +/- feet from Shamrock Park? Smola has an agenda and it is time to start voicing concerns about his disregard for Tyrone citizens.

Another issue with Smola's actions is that he stated that sewer service to the downtown area is more important than solving an ongoing issue at Millbrook. There have been issues with the pump station in this subdivision and are still being ignored. His recommendation was to ask the City of Fairburn an additional 25k gallons of sewer capacity. Not only did he oppose the subdivision tying on, he wanted to ask Fairburn for more capacity to serve Millbrook. Both situations oppose the will of the people and point out his failure to serve this community. Tyrone tax payers can not afford to pay for additional sewer capacity so it will not be a solution. Smola needs to put aside his agenda and serve this community by solving the problem in Millbrook. There are no more reasons to ignore this issue because the developer asked to tie on to the Tyrone’s sewer system.

To add to the drama, Mayor Lee decided to create her own focus group by appointing 18 people from various walks of life. The issue here is that you already have two groups that are available to serve. The Neighborhood Alliance was created by the citizens and for the citizens and has made tremendous strides in bringing issues to the forefront. The Focus Group was created by the council to serve the council. I will say that they only item they have provided is a report on where they think the library should go. This isn’t an accomplishment because the citizens have already voiced their opinion. Would a third group help? If the mayor is in charge, it will definitely not help. Review her track record and ask yourself is she has accomplished anything positive for this community.

Tyrone citizens must begin speaking out against elected officials who continually oppose the will of the people. The “vocal minority” must begin holding those officials accountable!

Smola and Lee need to be reminded the people of Millbrook are taxpayers and are in trouble. The developer is willing to tie on to the city sewer and unless he does, their problem is not going away. The town oked the system Millbrook has that's not working. Come summer with the mosquitoes, we could have a real dangerous problem. To keep the available sewer from them for Smola's pet project, is wrong. It is obvoius to anyone that Fairburn does't have anymore sewer to give Tyrone and he just wants Fairburn to be the bad guy.
I am sure when the library is built and Smola is all coiled up cozy in it reading a book, the people of Millbrook will take comfort in that thought, as they each sit out front of their houses on a Port-a-potty, swatting the mosquitoes off themselves.

Once the EXCESS sewer that Tyrone has...is gone....IT IS GONE! And you will be left holding the bag. Don't let Smola keep it for his pet project...the library. He says it is for downtown...do a drive through of downtown. Do you know what is there? Nothing! He is gonna hold on to that city sewer...waiting for new bussiness downtown that won't come and his pet project ...the library. You are more important. That is like some A$$ h@@@l buerograt after hurricane Katrina having a bunch of bottled water stored, seeing people dying, and saying they can't have it cause he was gonna give it out at the next "walk for life" or something. You matter! Get a petition going and ...DEMAND...THAT CITY SEWER!!!!

You are right. If people don't speak up, this is what they get. I was at the meeting before this one and their flunkee got up and was so ugly that people were asking him to sit down. Exceeding his time by a good 10 mins, saying nothing of merit, or truth, about Council members Furr and Caldwell.
When people kept calling time...Smola and Lee kept saying..."Let him speak", he was doing their hatchet job and they were tickeled to death and licking their ugly chops..I have never seen two people look so sick and gleefully, disgraceful in public office before.

We got Gloria and Grace in office, they are there for us, now lets support them. Speak out and don't these vulgar people do this again.
They are not just ugly looking on the outside, it goes all the way to the heart.

it was talking about why and who, tries to go up in mangament and public office.. It said that mainly people are after 2 things. 1. They are on top of their own problems and are in charge and ready to help others, or 2. They lead very unfulfilled lives and try to jusify them. They try to fill the holes in their personality with titles. They will try to hurt you if you dispute their fanticy. Now think about that, and then think about Gloria and Grace, where do they fit, ...then think of Smola and Lee.
