Band Excellence
The Sandy Creek High School Patriot Marching Band was awarded the overall “Best in Class” trophy Oct. 15 at the Eagle’s Nest Invitational Marching Band Competition. Featured were 22 area bands at the event hosted by Collins Hill High School in Suwanee. Sandy Creek was also awarded “Best in Class” trophies for the band’s color guard, percussion, and musical performance. The band’s show is titled “Stormy Weather” and features selections from “Stormy Weather,” “It’s Raining Men,” “Into the Storm,” “Thunder Rolls” and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” The director is Casey Eubanks, the assistant director is Marcus K. Raynor, and the band is led on the field by Drum Major Aubrey Scott. Zack Gradolph, a senior and mellophone section leader, hoists one of the band’s trophies before the crowd. Photo/Special.

I would like to point out that SCHS's Patriot Marching Band won the first Grand Champion award ever in Sandy Creek history. Also, we defeated about 41 bands overall in this season. This is one of the more prestegious records in our marching band history.

Reminder: Come to Griffin High School Friday, November 4th to cheer on the Patriot Band and Football team as they go to their first playoff game. Also, go to the concession stand before or after half-time so that you won't miss the bands who work extremely hard to provide entertainment for the crowds at the games.

This band also won a Grand Championship at Osborne High School on October 22, 2005.
