The Christmas SpiritI come yet again with my hat in hand, asking for your help. Back in the fall I asked my friends here on the C to send birthday cards to a very sick little girl, Taylor Hulsey. The campaign for cards was a great success and she received around 500 cards and had many days of joy opening her cards. I'm asking now that when you send out your Christmas cards, send one to this little girl and make her and her mother's day. This is one very brave child and to meet her is to love her. Her story is below and again I ask you to please send a card to Taylor. For those of you who do not know of Taylor, she is the daughter of Vicki Perrusse Hulsey, a classmate of ours. Taylor was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma Multiforme two years ago, and has become a little miracle at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta by outliving all doctors expectations. Vicki quit work to care for Taylor. For her Birthday this year we sponsored a Birthday Card Campaign for Taylor, and she received over 500 cards. It was a great source of joy to Taylor to open each card. I want to thank all who participated. Now we are asking you to send Taylor a Christmas Card. Opening mail is one of Taylor's greatest joys, as she has very little mobility. Taylor has been sponsored by the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children and her sponsorship will end at the end of this year. They have been so wonderful to help her each month with her diapers and gas cards. For those of you who would like to help, Taylor and Vicki have a need for gas cards from the BP station and Depend Adjustable underwear size S/M, which are easily purchased for mailing on-line at Amazon and other on-line outlets. Mostly Taylor needs your prayers. Please feel free to copy this email and mail it to a friend who would like to help. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all. Taylor Hulsey |
