Free Speech run amok

I was really appalled by the attack on Greg Dunn and Linda Wells in Free Speech this week.

Although I am fairly certain the author
is most likely a disgruntled former employee with an ax to grind, I did not think I could sit quietly and let this kind of attack go unanswered. I do not know Greg Dunn that well. I know what I read, and I know that my limited contact with him over the years what I read does not match up with the man.
Say what you will about style (or lack of it) but from what I see he is sincere in his effort to do what is best for the people of Fayette County. When you scan the political landscape, rest assured that he is, by comparison to those who choose to try to replace him, the best choice.
But as far as Linda Wells in concerned I must weigh in here. I met Linda at a Chamber of Commerce some years ago.
I also heard a speech she made to the Fayette Board of Realtors last year.
She is without a doubt one of the kindest, most articulate and genuine people I have ever met. During her time here in Fayette County she has an unblemished record of service to the community. Whether as an interpreter for the deaf,(something I found out about in her speech) an active member of the board of health, Director of the Fayette County Council on Domestic Violence or a staunch supporter of small business in the county through her own company, Ms. Wells has been anything but distainful of anyone, county employee or private citizen. In fact, from what I gather she is well recognized among the county employees as the most effective of all of the commissioners. It is important when you see this kind of attack being put forth in any forum that people be made aware of the truth, not the rantings of some disgruntled individual.

Wow, is that a reality disconnect. Linda and Greg both love doing the podium slash and burn thing, usually without any warning. Sure, you're fair game if you step. But don't try to fool us, Janet, by claiming that Greg and Linda have manners. They don't. You will never, ever see Randall trashing on someone. So what if it is a county employee ? Without the Free Speech they would be fully silenced.

Ptctaxpayer, I hate to disappoint you but this is not being written by Janet Dunn. I have seen her from a distance. Does that count? You obviously have had some kind of negative experience or you just want to trash these two people because you have some other agenda.
I am also not sure about the part of your comment "Sure, your fair game if you step" because it is a sentence fragment and a non sequiter. It is clear that your response is neither coherent nor on point. I never said anything about Randall Johnson in my response. So I must assume that you are either the author of the free speech comment, you work for the Sheriff or his defense is part of your agenda.
I said that it was likely a former employee wrote the free speech comment, and I stand by the statement. Unless, of course, you can provide compelling evidence to the contrary. I have actually had occasion to attend commission meetings and have seen both Mr. Dunn and Ms. Wells dealing with the issues before them. I have also had the opportunity to see them outside the commission meeting setting and I have seen nothing in their demeanor that contradicts what I said. By contrast, I have seen examples that invalidates your assertions, particularly from Ms. Wells. Have you ever actually seen either of them in either setting or do you choose to take the word of others in forming your opinions?
