The case is not about race, said Corey, who is white. Fouch, DeCosta and Franklin are black. Corey teamed up with an African-American businesswoman, Maureen Malone, for his airport bid. But he and Malone were outsiders, Corey said, while Fouch had strong ties to city hall. Fouch’s first contract was a 15-year, no-bid award from the Jackson administration.

“There’s the royals and the regular people,” he said. “The royals control it. The regular people don’t have the opportunity to do business out there.”

When Corey states that this isn't about race I take issue there. For race IS part of the equation. But for his justified pursuit of what is right, he doesn't have to use race as the reason he is blocked from doing business with the city.

Stating that it is about "royals vs. the little people" is not how I view it at all. My personal experience proves that it needs to be referred to as the 'Atlanta Black Mafia'. the regular people'.

Using race to gain these contracts is just an avenue these elitist "royals / mobsters" utilize in covering up their stinky and unethical business practices.

I close in saying that corruption is shamelessly rampant from our president all the way down to our local city governments in most cases. I'll throw out the 80/20 rule and let you guess which number I believe to be the ethical class.

THE OLD BOYS CLUB AT WORK

Race is part of the picture because the 'royals' are no longer 'white'.
Kudos to those who insisted on signing an affidavit stating that the principals have not received donations/gifts from those vendors applying for space at Hartfield-Jackson. Regardless of the color, there are business practices that cut out the 'little' people or those who are not part of the in-group. What is happening here happened when blacks and/or women were not even in the game. It's 'business' at its worse.

;? How can someone who is so narrow-minded and predjudiced in her rantings actually expect those of us she trashes to believe the credibility of her posted words. Logic IS what IS being applied to in regards to the silly responses that defend the unethical actions of those you defend. But continue on.... Pleeeeze...

Continue on with not addressing the facts or stated implications and continue on with showing us how incredibly adept you are in the practice of 'dodge and weave'.
