PTC Public Works Director - GONE!

Well another one bites the dust. Tom Corbin – The Public Works Director of PTC was let go Friday. It is unclear weather he was laid off or fired for cause. What has this city come to? A large portion of the public works crew was laid off in February 2009 and this action now makes me wonder what the City Council is now up to. Will he be replaced? Has this budget crisis (I believe caused by this council and Mayor) just claimed another victim? How much will the people of PTC have to bear before we are able to oust the sitting council and bring in a new one? How much will the people allow to continue before they stand up and take no more?

"budget crisis / caused by this council and mayor" - WOW, thats a stretch, I don't think the world-wide economic downturn, which impacted probably 99% of all local, state and national government agencies was caused by the Peachtree City Council, and not Mr. McMullen either for that matter. Just keep posting your thoughts, as they are good for a laugh every once and awhile.
As for the departure of the PW's Director, maybe he wasn't doing his job or meeting productivity benchmarks or something. But lets put a DarkMadam twist to it, and say the Mayor and Bernie are taking us all down, by terminating unproductive staff or employees.

You do realize that sarcasm is just a why to try and hide a lack of intellegence don't you? If you are going to quote me get it right please. I was speaking of the crisis here in PTC. I actually pondered if he was fired for cause. I don't and never did claim to know why he left. That was the whole question to the point. You are so busy trying to read between my lines that you missed my point. But you and I have a very long history of dissagreeing. I would not expect that to change now.
