FCHS beats Luella 35-34 in overtime

In one Hell of a game FCHS knocks off Luella in a come from behind victory, down 21-7 in the late third and early fourth quarter the Tigers reared up and scored 21 straight points to lead the Lions by 7. Mounting a drive late in the fourth, the Lions come back and tie the game with 51 seconds left forcing an overtime. After a scoreless first overtime both teams score TD's in the second OT with Luella missing the PAT and the Tigers converting for the win.
Way to go Tigers, it was an awesome game.

Good job reporting! Thanks...I couldn't find the FCHS score.
BTW Bonkers Luella is in Henry County.

I was hoping to find out exactly what happened last night. All I could get was a score from the AJC. Thanks for the excellent game recap as The Citizen didn't bother to even mention that the Tigers had a game last night much less who won or lost...GO TIGERS!!

Tiger fans - little help

I've been asking for fans, boosters etc from all local teams to update me with scores on Friday night. Got nobody from Fayette yet. Want to volunteer? E-mail me at sports@thecitizen.com and I'll e-mail you my cell. Of course, next games are Oct. 2 and that's when all local rivalry games start, so we'll have updates for everybody as they happen.

If we could get a person from each of the Fayette County Schools to sign up as a scorekeeper at www.tweetmyscore.com, we could all get updates as the games progress.

I keep score for Sandy Creek already. You create a "score only" twitter account and connect it to your cell phone. Just read the rules and directions on the website. Its really cool.
