Chuck Morley dies

The AJC obituaries today (Sept. 9) report that Charles B. “Chuck” Morley, 65, of Douglasville had died Sunday.

I do believe this is the recently retired editor of the Fayette County News and Today in Peachtree City newspapers, the legal organs for Fayette County.

It is sad to think he got to enjoy his retirement such a short time. My condolences to his family.

A Fayette County News article (dated Sept. 8) on their website confirms that the deceased is their former editor who retired in July after 16 years in that position. The article indicates that he died of lung cancer and that he has relatives in Peachtree City.

The overall point is that he was well known in the community, served it to the best of his ability, and a mention of his passing is appropriate.

to be in a conversation about a man as good as Chuck Morley. I know your a senile old goat but even you should be able to muster up the sense not to make tongue and cheek sarcasm about the passing of a good man. I think your mad cow symptoms are getting worse. Call the nurse to change your bed pan and spare us your drible in this thread.
