Starrs Mill High School

There are two things that really bug me about the school my child attends. Hopefully before she graduates one or both of them will be resolved:

1. With all the money we have to give to support extracurricular activities, can't they find the money to install a modern sound system at the football stadium?

2. It's disappointing that students are not allowed to drive golf carts to school. I've heard it's a parking issue and I've also heard the principal doesn't want it.

Agree with number 1. I was there for the McIntosh football games the last few years and the Starr's Mill PA system is terrible I couldn't recognize any of the names and knew most of the players. The music sounded like an AM radio from the 60's.

On Number 2 though, with all the cart problems McIntosh and PTC has combined with the fact that:

A.) Starr's Mill is in Fayette County not PTC and
B.) There are not separate lots and areas that would keep carts (with no seatbelts or helmeted drivers) from the road and the teen driver's cars on campus

I would have to disagree with that one.
