Peachtree Parkway South

The grass is a foot tall and growing...I'm not impressed with our new landscapers at all.

One of the new guys was cutting the grass on Robinson Road with a weed eater. I'm not talking about edging either.

Saw them on 74 South today..between Gardner Park and Clover Reach. Three of them picking up litter and one on a mower. LOTS of litter in bags on the side of the road that they have picked up so far.

What is the fine here for littering?

It should be a month of weekends on 74 picking that trash, for all the man hours it takes to pick it up before they can mow.

Does anyone know if this means the GDOT has handed over maintenance of 74 South to the city? Sure looks like it. And they couldn't even be bothered putting down proper seed.

I posted last night about the Parkway looking rough, and low and behold, it was cut by 11 AM this morning, from at least Fishers Luck to Hwy 54.

I also hope you are right about the GDOT turning over 74 to the City. It would impossible to not make it look better.

Yes, We Old Goats do read the Citizen blogs....And yes, that high speed chase was distressing from what I heard.

Fondly,

I'm sorry, we can only have one old goat at a time on "The C". Cal makes sure of this. Smiling

There is a recession going on. The grass will just have to grow for awhile.
I didn't know we were cutting state roads grass!

Maybe you can round up the former kudzu eradicators.

Laugh if you wish but all we need is to borrow some of those goats in the field on north 74 and have a goat herder move them around all day on ties, and put them back up at night so the foreigners won't eat them!
They would eat up that Kudzu in a week!
