POLICE CHASE ON P'TREE PKWY APPROX 6:00 PM

Main Stream's picture

Does anyone know what happened? I would really like to know why I was run off the road by Lake Kedron, while 6 PTC police cars chased a grey SUV down the parkway at top speed tonight. What did this person do? Anyone know?

Hey gang we're working on it. Gonna be a little trickier than your average run of the mill police pursuit...

Anyone with photos, pls email me at jmunford@thecitizen.com

just west of Piedmont Hospital on SR 54 West. The green Ford Expedition was cornered in the grassy median surrounded by you know who with blue lights. The boss and I passed it on our way to PTC about 6:15P.

My oldest son almost had a head-on with that Ford on Peachtree Pkwy.

Anybody know how the high speed pursuit ended up tonight at about 6:15 east of PTC ? Hopefully real painful for the perp. It was east bound heading out of PTC. Whole bunch of vehicles from different jurisdictions, including GSP a few minutes later.

I'll bet she did not make it to the Tyrone Road. Double or nothing on Old Norton.

And don't give me this crap about the police being at fault. I saw the motorist almost strike another civilian vehicle.

For the Fayette Deputy with the Stop Sticks by the Dive Shop--- good toss. He had good radio contact, avoided the other motorists but she just managed swerve around 'em in that crappy minivan. I won't give you a full description because David's Mom will come unglued. Looked like she might not hold it and nearly struck another vehicle.

This is dangerous stuff and it was right at that Publix where a high speed motorist killed a father coming out of store minding his own business.

Oh the good old days when you could stop them by ventilating their vehicle.

"She" almost plowed into me from behind and I was lucky enough to have gotten off the road in time. That same cop you saw, also threw down Stop Sticks next to Lake Kedron to try and stop the person and "she" swerved to avoid them in the road. I just now went back down to the place where she swerved and found some Baby Phat sunglasses lying next to the road. The car I saw looked like a late model, grey or olive green, SUV of some kind.

I hope they caught this person.

Thanks for returning back to the spot you saw me toss the stop sticks. Not sure why you did, but I appreciate it none the less! Can you please return those at your convienence. I will be working tomorrow from 7:30am until 7:30pm. I will gladly come by your location. Contact the Fayette County Dispatch center at 770 461-4357 and advise them that you have an item for Peachtree City-1319. Sounds silly but I really like those glasses. Of course you can return them to the police station on Monday if your not available tomorrow.

Sorry folks, can't comment on the chase.
