Restaurant Review

zoes's picture

We tried the Royal Stix last Friday night. It is in the old Latitude 33 location.

I was very impressed. The place has been completely redone and looks very nice. We had a large party and could hear each other over all the other guests (It was hopping!).

Wonderfully varied menu and the sushi was really good.

The service was a little slow, but very thoughtful when they got to us. They don't yet have their beer/wine license from the state, but allowed us to bring our own wine in and provided chilled glasses and an ice bucket.

Prices were quite reasonable (and I'm cheap, no, I mean Frugal!)

Great experience and I can't wait to go back!

Glad you had a good experience. Sorry, but in my view, Sushi is NOT real food. Don't think I'll be visiting. My Asian food cravings are best satisfied at Thai Spice in PTC. Almost as good as what I've had in Bangkok and the Singha beer tastes the same--just doesn't come in those huge bottles like in Thailand--sorta like those 22oz bottles of Fat Tire you can find in some local places now.

They have Thai, Japanese and Chinese there, so you're bound to satisfy some part of your cravings. Massaman Curry was great!!

is the real deal. And Kane Yama has some good stuff.

Don't get me going on the Fat Tire, that's good stuff too. Smiling

Hey man, you go knock yourself out! Take those scales with you so you know when you get to "overload".

Your "tar" isn't the only thing that is flat and more than 'yur' bucket has holes. Have an appointment today to have an attitude adjustment, do you?

What Bonker needs is a hug and a little 'special attention'. Perhaps we can all chip in and contribute to his 'attitude adjustment fund'. Eye-wink Unless we we can find a benevolent heart some where to errrr... give Bonkie a hug and some therapy. Sticking out tongue

You know you have to take your meds before blogging.

I have mentioned that I used to live with someone, who now resides at Greenwood, that thought and spoke a lot like ole Bonk . . .since I put up with that for way too long, I'm certain I could spare one 30 second hug for ole Bonk.

Ole coot, I believe he gets a real big kick out of being the devil's advocate; while we don't understand, at least he is having lots of fun stirring folks up, bless his heart, let him rant.

Bonk, it's the little green pill that makes everything look rosey, why don't you triple up on the dosage.

Is that the Greenwood Animal Shelter? Or a cemetary somewhere?
I can only guess what happened to them!

No hugs wanted!

I don't need no green pills.

What is wrong with calling attention to foolishness and naivitivity?

It is laziness to ignore wrongdoing due to party!

Ha! You make me laugh. To your first question - while he was a dog . . .he is not at the shelter, but the cemetary. So you are right on both accounts.

There are those of us who think you do need a hug and lots of pills.

What one person calls foolishness and naivitivity (sp????) may well be fun conversation and being neighborly to others.

You know, I believe you are a real thinker, and sometimes quite funny, except when you talk to yourself. Why not lighten up a little bit and enjoy. I'm thinking it takes a lot of negative energy for you to be such an old fussbudget. Have a good afternoon.

Well at least he did not comment on himself....

Well Gym... If we're fishing together and we get real hungry at least it'll be comforting to know I won't have to wrassle you (as Bonker would say) when it comes to eating the bait. As for me.... I'm sitting next to Zoes and woofing down good raw fish. Cept for those octopus critters... I struggle chewing, enjoying and swallowing pieces of squeaky tire tubes.

We ate there on the evening they opened. I think they got overwhelmed with a lot of customers but they worked through it. Food was great and the attitude of the employees was too as they attempted to get their rhythm down that evening. Can't wait to try it again after the get the bugs worked out. Finally a place for nearby for some good refreshing fish 'n' such.

I can't do the octopus either. Too darn chewy. Sashami, nigri, etc. All good eating! I'm so happy to have a good sushi bar near home. And they have things my family and friends will eat while I scarf down the fish!

Oh, I like fish but prefer it fried. But did have some awful good ceviche in Panama City, Panama once.
