Square dancers?

Are there any square dancing clubs around here? Thanks.

Wildcat, yes there's several clubs in the area. Fayette Log Cabins (dance 2nd & 4th Saturdays 7:30 pm at Fayette Intermediate School Hood Ave), Lad & Lassie in McDonough 7:30m 1st & 3rd Satarudays Hickory Flat Elementary, Brannon Road, Rebel Reelers in Newnan (1st & 3rd Fridays at 7:30 at Coweta Co. Parks & Recreation Bldg). There's a lot of others. For different clubs go Georgia Association of Sqaure Dancers and they have a list of clubs. Hope to see ya at one fo the dances

If you're interested square dance classes start in Sept. tuesday night (I believe $4 a lesson) let me know and I'll get date and the address (classes are given at a church in Fayetteville)

Yes, please give me the information regarding lessons. My co-leader and I have to teach the Girl Scouts a basic square dance (in a 20 minute window of time). We were thinking that we could ask the PE teachers at our schools to show us but do they even teach square dancing in PE anymore?!!! Lessons would be much easier! Thanks for all your help.

The president of the Log Cabin Squares can give you all the info on the lessons. I know they will be on Tuesday nights at 7:30 starting in Sept. at the Presb. church on 92 Hwy (headed toward Fairburn). The presidents name/number Gene Cochran 770-478-2233.
