Democrat Durbin Does Dirty Deeds ....

Well, it seems that another member of the democratic congress is padding their personal account with the inside information received in their official capacity courtesy of the U.S. Taxpayer (You and Me folks).

What a difference a day makes:

"The Illinois senator sold mutual-fund shares worth $42,696 on Sept. 19, the day after then-Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke urged congressional leaders in a closed meeting to craft legislation to help financially troubled banks. The same day, he bought $43,562 worth of Berkshire Hathaway's Class B stock, the disclosure shows."

But wait, it gets better:

"Durbin sold investments worth $116,000 in September. By Oct. 2, he had invested $98,046 in Omaha, Neb.-based Berkshire Hathaway, the form shows."

On wall street this is called insider trading. At best this would be an ethics violation for this class of clowns. I doubt in this climate of government gone wild anything at all will become of it.

Knowing what will happen tomorrow is a great way to beat the market, especially when you know of legislation that will be crafted and announced that specifically affects a specific company.

Just a perk for the chosen few government 'servants' I guess. Eye-wink

BTW - Reading your blogs each morning - keep up the great blogs - posting as I can - What about that slick election in Iran?

Jimmy C.? Why aren't you and Obama raising hell about the "irregularities" and supporting the dissidents?

The response (or lack thereof) from Obama is the worst national policy response in the last 30 years.

Stop seizing companies and Carpe Diem Obama.

Stop being a community organizer, put up the teleprompter and be a leader!!

It's just like Congresswoman Maxine Waters using her influence in getting TARP aid to bailout OneUnited Bank which her husband is a major stockholder and would have lost a good amount of money with out TARP Aid. OneUnited Bank did finally receive $12 million in TARP Aid.
