PTC's new policy for dead animal clean up

Apparently there isn't one! As of this morning there are 2 dead animals on Hwy 54 west of Peachtree Parkway and they have been there so long that car after car has pulverized them. Maybe the plan to save money is "just let the crows eat it!" I don't know if people are aware that the 23 people that were fired also did the job of cleaning up road kill. I have never asked if Tru-Green was going to do this too. Bet not! I feel quite certain that if others with the city have been given this duty it is in addition to existing duties with NO additional pay. High grass/weeds, poorly mowed medians, and dead animals in the road, this is not the Peachtree City we want it to be. Now, with the upcoming elections, is the time to let your feelings be known. No Illegal workers! No poor upkeep of the city, and No more politics as usual! Send a message that this will not be tolerated. PTC is losing its beauty due to the poor management of city funds. We have the chance before it is too late to reverse the damage.

According to Haddix, we saved about 900,000 bucks. Divide that by 35,000 and we saved around $25 bucks a person a year. . I would have gladly paid that to keep the workers here in PTC. Council was short sighted in my humble opinion.

Frankly, what good is the savings if we get less?
