CIA Says Pelosi Was Briefed on Use of 'Enhanced Interrogations'

In a 10-page memo outlining an almost seven-year history of classified briefings, intelligence officials said that Pelosi and then-Rep. Porter Goss (R-Fla.) were the first two members of Congress ever briefed on the interrogation tactics. Then the ranking member and chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, respectively, Pelosi and Goss were briefed Sept. 4, 2002, one week before the first anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Meanwhile..... The Pelosi gang in a typical example of double speak released this:

In a carefully worded statement, Pelosi's office said today that she had never been briefed about the use of waterboarding, only that it had been approved by Bush administration lawyers as a legal technique to use in interrogations.

"As this document shows, the Speaker was briefed only once, in September 2002. The briefers described these techniques, said they were legal, but said that waterboarding had not yet been used," said Brendan Daly, Pelosi's spokesman.

Now that's funny ..... "change we can believe in", indeed.

Hoekstra Calls for Hearings on Pelosi 'Torture' Claims

Hoekstra, R-Mich., the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, says the record is now clear that Pelosi lied when she said she knew nothing about the harsh interrogation techniques.

"Clearly her left wing is outraged that waterboarding was used," Hoekstra told The Hill. "The bottom line is she and her key staff, they all knew about it."

Birds of a feather. They will do and say anything to cover their hinies. They care nothing about America or the American people that they work for.

It's all about power for the dems. I sure hope the sheeple that are following them wake up out of their stuper before it's too late.

You do mean the story about Barney Frank's fanny (the live-in boyfriend) working at Freddie Mac, didn't you?

Liberals, you got to love them.

as my Grandmother used to say.. If this is pushed to a courtroom.. it will be awful hard for Pelosi and the rest to deny they knew or approved like they did for the Use of Force granted to Pres. Bush..

I can hear them now:I VOTED FOR IT.. BEFORE I VOTED AGAINST IT.. Wait that one was already used.. oh well...

I will not lower my standards.. So UP YOURS.. Evil

Don't forget that serviceable old stand-by "It depends upon what the meaning of the word "is" is". That one might come in handy again...
