Texas Revolts Against Obama Government

Texas Governor Rick Perry signed House Bill 50 April 14, 2009 telling the Federal Government to get out of our lives. The resolution affirmed states rights under the 10th Amendment. Perry said the Fed has become too intrusive in the lives of our citizens. And that’s why I support efforts all over the Country to free States from unconstitutional regulations.

Way to go Texas. Obama promised change but I don’t think this was the change he meant. The Fed will of course ignore Texas, so the next step will be revolt. Go Georgia support Texas. See video on Drudgereport.com

Having surrendered to the follicle demons long ago, I would have all hands and legs free while Chuck held his hairpiece in place with his non-dominate hand Laughing out loud

Starring David Carradine as Grasshopper....Now that would be keeping real. Kwai Chang Caine would take em all out with his bamboo staff, then play a tune on his flute as he walks off into the sunset. Hey didnt he fight Chuck Norris in LONE WOLF MCQUADE??? BLESS

Both states have been kicking around this idea for years and it looks like Texas is at least symbolically going forward with it. Several years ago Colorado almost passed a resolution to succeed. These two states are kind of big in the areas of independence and self-reliance, at least verbally they are.

I don't think it has much to do with the "Obama government" as it does the federal government itself and the issue of states rights and all the unfunded mandates of the feds. It's not a Repub issue as Repubs are notorious non-supporters of states rights. Sure, they talk a good game, but they lie through their teeth. See Ronald Reagan and the drinking age and Richard Nixon and the speed limit for examples of Repub presidents using the iron fist of the Federal government to force states to do their bidding.

Texas has a past of independence, the lone star republic, a bunch of white farmers and cattlemen rebelling against Spanish rule in San Antonio, with a clear vision of independence and justice for all, very friendly to the Mexicans also caught in the territory. Georgia.... well, Georgia only has the KKK to show, and the biggest audience of Sean Hannity's show.
