I'm not sure I can discern whom or what you mean by, "you guys all support everyone else..."

And as I clearly stated above, I AM a regular Joe Taxpayer. But not one so foolish as to think a rally at noon in an ostensibly bedroom community (i.e. one whose residents work elsewhere) in the name of taxpayers is going to actually attract many working taxpayers. Nor am I so foolish as to think we can have a functioning society without an unfunded government. Perhaps you have issue with the accountability of that government and that's fine. But advocating a cessation to paying taxes at all is tantamount to anarchy. Besides, these clever "tea parties" are nothing more than knee-jerk reactions to media hype over something that's been around since the dawn of organized nations and governments. There is nothing inherently unique about the current socio-economic climate of USA circa 2009 that makes it any different than any other similar time in history.

I always find it amusing when those who rant about paying for government see nothing wrong with availing themselves of any of the services that government provides. So unless you're totally off-the-grid, a tax protest will always have a tinge of hypocrisy to it.

In short, calm down, go to work, relax and this too shall pass.

Lindsey, I think that a better example would be to show our immigrant community we are PROUD TAX PAYERS. A conservative acquaintance of mine conveyed a story where her immigrant family members proudly displayed their tax bills. Take Skyspy's advice. Go to the TEA party and tell them to support their great nation and proudly pay to fund the government we Americans voted for. Then, vote them out in 2010 and 2012 if you are unhappy with the results of their legislating.

No one I know supports or is proud of ILLEGAL immigrants, because they are criminals.

We support our country not the illegal-criminal-immigrants they let in.

The difference is one generation of immigrants who came here LEGALLY and the current brand of worthless garbage who are ILLEGAL CRIMINALS!

One group of immigrants took pride in paying their own way. The other group of ILLEGAL MOOCHERS want to freeload and see how long they can get away with it.

Do you actually have any ideas or suggestions of your own for solving this problem of criminals? Does your whole life surround shadow boxing on the blogs?

Skyspy, it is FINE with me for you to refer to people as such. We just have very different thought processes. You constantly try to imply that if one doesn't use slurs and hate towards illegal immigrants, they must (somehow) support illegal immigration. That's called leaping logic and it does not work in crafting an argument. I believe we penalize employers of illegal immigrants to effectively fight the problem, but I will not personally hate these people or feel they and their families are worthless garbage. I happen to know for a fact that many, many illegal immigrants are quite wonderful people who actually have value to this Earth. That's one area where our thinking diverges. The other is in your preoccupation with all groups black.

STOP HIRING THEM!! Those who employ illegals are also criminals. Let's deal with all criminals as provided for under existing law! There are certain industries here that would have job openings immediately for unemployed Americans. Construction CEO's may be in jail for a while; also those execs in the clothing industry in this country - oh well. This isn't a partisan issue - it's a legal issue.

I'm doing my small part by never hiring them. I probably pay more for lawn care and remodling projects, but I'm practicing what I preach. It feels good.
