Obama lies: "I'm all for the Second Amendment."

DarthDubious's picture

"My first PRIORITY will be to reinstate the assault weapons ban as soon as I take office. Within 90 days, we will go back after kitchen table dealers, and work to end the gun show and internet sales loopholes. In the first year, I intend to work with Congress on a national no carry law, 1 gun a month purchase limits, and bans on all semi-automatic guns." YES, THERE IS STILL TIME TO ORDER BEFORE Obama's new gun bans kick in late 2009!

MR. OBAMA: Does it matter that a 1 gun a month law, along with your registration, carry, ammo and "assault" ban plans will destroy the industry, put small dealers out of business due to tracking and loss of the collector base, and destroy more jobs in the US than Bush lost his entire 8 years? MR.OBAMA: Will you really spend trillions on bailouts to "create and protect jobs" while destroying millions of AMERICAN jobs in the firearms, hunting, gunsmithing, sporting, reloading, sevices, supplies, distribution, retail and manufacturing businesses? APPARENTLY YES!

So, how do we protect our 2nd amendment rights in the face of this overwhelming new DC monster? First, your Firearms Instructor License, with an executive/ dignitary protection add on, or your EP/Bodyguard Instructor Certification will protect your concealed carry rights with current versions of the legislation already being drafted by Pelosi. Record sales of guns prior to the next (silly) ban on collapsible stocks and bayo lugs are already happening.

Regardless of their majority, there will still be "pre ban" guns out there, as even a unified Dem DC wouldn't dare trying to go "house to house" to get guns without a "prelude" (Here's HOW it will HAPPEN). Many are seeing this as a great investment opportunity, as the Clinton (milder) bans resulted in AR's jumping from $700 to $3,000 overnight when they had pre ban features, which actually do NOTHING to increase crime!

More ominously, will we say goodbye to our 1911's? Very possibly. To grandfather and save your current collection, and any purchases between now and March of 09 (Jan 20 Inauguration, plus two months to get the new laws to the floor), get your HOME FFL right now, and consider both GUNSMITHING and FIREARMS INSTRUCTION as exceptions that will likely remain. Our RELOADING CERTIFICATION will help the other areas the Dems have targeted: AMMO! Law enforcement, bodyguards and military will still need FI's and even the Dems won't try to destroy over 300,000 gunsmithing jobs. In fact, with more people trying to keep and expand their collections ahead of national registration, which is likely, gunsmithing will become a rocket growth career, just like auto repairs skyrocket when new car sales slump! Concealed Carry? Only retired LE and certified EP's will be excepted under the Obama/ Reid/ Pelosi plan.

you actually KNOW me personally.

First off, I don't celebrate astrotheologic pagan holidays. Second, I have never been to any of the sites(check out efoods.com) you list. I don't own one pair of military camo fatigues.

Being prepared for what could come as a result of depression era percentages in the economy doesn't make me a wacko. If they had breadlines in the past you can bet they will come in the future as, sadly, human history continues to repeat itself.

All I really worry about if food and looters. I got plenty of food and shotgun shells put away for both.

I have four pistols, four rifles and a number of different shotguns and a couple of compound bow’s w/ammo&arrows for all. Yes I hunt.

I’m one person with over 20 different weapons and two legged prey isn't beneath me. I do believe that there are some people that need 'shooten' in this world. Butt…

If the U.S. Govt. up and decides that I own too many guns and/or too much ammo do you really think I, or most of my neighborhood, would survive a shootout with the ATF, FBI, GBI, and/or the CIA? Now that would be a headline for the Citizen! “PTC resident takes out entire AFT task force from bedroom window.” “The Citizen owns all rights to these photographs”

There isn’t much that I can hunt with a Browning .50 shooting depleted uranium with a bayonet attachment. (excluding groundhogs and coyotes)

Why on Gods’ green earth do you feel a need to have a weapon with a folding stock? (Hint, it’s not the sight of the gun that’s going to scare the deer away, it’s more likely your odor.) If your intent is to hide it from your wife, there are better ways.

Please tell me when you last killed a deer with a stainless .223 mini-14 with a 35 round banana clip set to full auto? If you have, then all I can say is, that’s NOT hunting.

four cap lock pistols that I built from kits(which are very nice looking, if I do say so myself), a .357 magnum revolver, and a twelve gauge pump shot gun. None of these have clips, are fully automatic, semi-automaticm, or have collapsable stocks.

However, it is not the government's place to decide what kind, or how many firearms a person should be allowed to have! PERIOD!

Let's just look one example of how an armed aware citizenry could have thwarted a dictator. 1930's Germany. Hitler burnt down the Reichstag government building(9/11) and blamed it on terrorists. Introduced the Gestapo(Dept. of Homeland Security), disarmed the people(reinstatement of weapons ban-ammo registration), declared martial law, and started exterminations in concentration camps.

And don't say that can't happen here, it can happen ANYWHERE. We aren't but a couple of steps away from it friend, so you better wake up! The moment they get our guns from us, they will be goosestepping in the street, and it will be totalitarian hell in this country.

Congress has already been put on notice, by the masses that this is a hands off agenda, and most of them are aware and are even involved with certain groups embeded in this great nation of our, that if a select few of Os objectives are passed, that this will be the opening act of the next American Revolution, thus for congress is the only thing maintaing the status quo at this point... Let us hope they have the wisdom to make the right decision, for they have been put on notice... Stand by for alert status.......BLESS

Too bad. When the SHTF you will be so sad, bewildered, and confused about the fact that your government hates you.

Amendment II

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

in·fringe; in·fringed; in·fring·ing
transitive verb
1: to encroach upon in a way that violates law or the rights of another

Any regulation of firearms constitutes infringment. The reason this Amendment exists, is to destroy criminal tyrants when they manage to get control of the government. You must study history: Hitler, Stalin, and Mao all disarmed the people before totalitarian rule. The American middle class is all that stands in the way of complete break down of our national soveriegnty, and global tyranny at the hands of the UN.

You are the conspiracy alarmist's version of a one man orchestra. The militia that the constitution refers to is known as the National Guard, with "well regulated" being the operative term. Your right to bear arms is "infringed" in many places for good reason, including anyone's home or their place of business who does not want you bringing a gun into it.

Some people interpret the Second Amendment as a method of enabling only the government to arm a government militia. This is an obscene misinterpretation. If, in fact, the purpose of the Second Amendment to the Constitution is to enable the government to arm a government militia, then this would be the only one of the ten amendments constituting the Bill of Rights that confers a power or right on the government. Although the amendment emphasizes the need for a militia, membership in any militia, let alone a well regulated one, is not required to exercise the right to keep and bear arms.

Our Founding Fathers had a distrust of any standing army. In fact, we did not have a standing army after the Revolutionary War, which is clear evidence that the Second Amendment was not meant to apply to an organized militia, rather it refers to the unorganized militia (“minute men”), which federal law still acknowledges to this date (10 U.S.C. 311, subsection B). It is therefore evident that the intent of our Founding Fathers was for the militia to remain unorganized and consist of the people themselves, as individuals, who would remain armed so that they would always have a means to resist tyranny.

The Founding Fathers were rebels who had just fought a revolution, and they had no way of foreseeing whether another one would be necessary in several years, a few decades, or in future centuries. However, they did know that tyranny is always possible, and that liberty can best be safeguarded by arming the common man – and keeping him armed.

The original Militas where citizen formed and not affiliated per se with a Goverment.. The actual National Guard was founded a Century and a half later.. view link.. The Founding Fathers wrote in the Constitution a provision for the States to maintain the Milita.
Our Right to bear arms have been attacked through many avenues.. The most recent attempt to have the 2nd Admendment to mean only "The Guard" has a right to arms.. Not private Citizens.. By a 5-4 vote the 2nd Amendment was re-affirmed.. What is scary is the 4 JUSTICES said we do not have a right to bear arms.. The Gun Control crowd was licking it's collective lips.. The next attempt will be the 500% tax on ammo.. So I have to say once they get their wish.. what is next.. The 1st Admendment.. Thought Police.. who knows..

"Obama has come out for handgun bans as recently as this past February. ABC News’ local Washington, D.C., anchor, Leon Harris, asked Obama: "One other issue that's of great importance here in the district as well is gun control ... but you support the D.C. handgun ban." Obama's simple response: "Right." When Harris said "And you've said that it's constitutional," Obama again says "right" and is clearly seen on tape nodding his head "yes."

CHAPTER 13 - THE MILITIA

-HEAD-
Sec. 311. Militia: composition and classes

-STATUTE-
(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied
males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section
313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a
declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States
and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the
National Guard.
(b) The classes of the militia are -
(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard
and the Naval Militia; and
(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of
the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the
Naval Militia.

Try doing some research for a change.

Golly, you mean all these years I've been a member of a militia and I didn't even know it? Who knew? And why didn't anyone show me the secret handshake?

Tell me, Petey C, exactly WHAT have these militia types been up to all these years? We had us a pretty severe tornado rip through downtown last year, seems like the militia could've been called out by the governor to keep order!

And all these gangs in Clayton county....they're militiamen too? They meet the criteria, right? So when the conservitards on this site starting complaining about gang activity, they're actually criticizing the militia and by definition the United States of America?

Fascinatin' stuff you dredge up there!

And to think I was under the mistaken belief that your average militiaman was a loser 40 to 50-something, living in his mobile home, subscribing to Handgunner and drinkin' Keystone beer, spending Saturday night carefully re-folding his tinfoil hat to keep the government from readin' his brainwaves (if any).

If he feels that it is so, then it is so. Sniffles is the ultimate statist. If his democratic handlers put out a talking points memo telling him to blog about the merits of the unorganized militia, then rest assured, he will assume the position and state the opposite. At the same time telling people that he has never wavered in his support.
