Don't Ask, Don't Tell

I believe the concept of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" is a detriment to the military. In my mind, it's a politically expedient "solution" to institutionalized homophobia.

What say you?

Stop the social engineering!

Gays can serve now, just quietly.

There are many other places they can serve in a national security role: FBI, CIA, DEA, DIA etc.

Those roles do not mandate the close living conditions found in the military.
