OBAMA IS A SOCIALIST, but does America care?

"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of "liberalism," they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened." - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

Archives Prove Obama member of Socialist Party

Obama tried to Hide his past

Democratic Socialists of America, Chicago Division

This is straight off their website. News from his first campaigns.

"Barack Obama, victor in the 13th State Senate District, encouraged NPers to join in his task forces on Voter Education and Voter Registration."

Listen guys. If Barack wins fine. America has made the turn toward socialism and with the tough economic times, maybe thats what America thinks is necessary. But lets be honest. He is a SOCIALIST. His friends and mentors were SOCIALISTS. Ayers, Wright, Frank Davis and now the Democratic Socialists.

Its all there! Just admit it and quit lying to the American people.

Again, this is their MISSION STATEMENT:
Our mission is to establish democratic socialism as a political force in the United States and around the world by training and mobilizing socialist activists to participate in a vibrant and diverse socialist organization at both the local and the national level. DSA both educates the public about democratic socialist values and policies and builds progressive coalitions to win victories that move the U.S. and the world toward social democracy.

The United States of Socialism. My God, what have we done to ourselves...

"Birds of Feather.. Flock together" is not just an old euphamisim.. It does have a lot of wisdom.. If you see someone you know hanging out with drug dealers chances are.. they are too.. and even if they are not they at least tacticly agree with the philosphy.
Look at Obama's "friends".. Ayers and Wright to name JUST A COUPLE.. proves the point.
Obama's association with these Radical Socialist (They said it themselves)gives me the impression he is too.
Let us all hope he is not and he stands up for America first, but excuse me if I have my doubts.

Two of our biggest Western allies Australia and Great Britain have a socialistic bent. I currently reside in Australia; I have a nationalised Medical policy here. I pay nothing for regular check ups, visits, etceteras. It works quite well and when you consider my premium is $99 a month for hospitalisation and Dental when compared to my brother's policy at nearly $300 a month (he lives in Louisiana) I wouldn't be decrying the gloom and doom of socialist ideals which already exist in America (Social Security, FDIC, Unemployment insurance, welfare, Medicare). By the way, my brother doesn't have insurance now because he just can't afford it anymore - only in America.

I'll bet some of them look like Mexicans and they still treat them!

I thought all of that medical knowledge was reserved only for those who could pay for it---otherwise stand at Grady emergency for two days, and just die, sometimes!

Have you visited our Piedmont Emergency lately? Takes about 6-9 hours to get a cursory check with instructions to see someone else soon!

If you have an EMERGENCY, I'm pretty sure it doesn't take "6-9 hours". CURSORY CHECKS are another thing. You should think of it as a compliment to your fine health; the longer you wait the less sick you are.

that the troglodytes on here will soon unleash a scream about how the regular checkups you don't pay for outright, are paid for with increased taxation. What would you rather have...a majority of the population without health care because they can no longer afford the premiums, or everybody covered with slightly increased taxes? Keep the faith.

I think dear sir that your comparison is inaccurate and your premise therefore flawed. I'm not sure of any other country, but here in the good ole U.S. of A., a majority of the population is indeed insured for and receives health care benefits. That is to say a minority of the population has no health care benefits. They probably do have a cell phone though.

Ayers wrote Obama's Book, Dreams of my Father.

This is a long read and it requires some intelligence, so you liberals need to find someone to read it for you. But for those that still care about the Affirmative Action President, just give this link a read.

Bill Ayers has to be the best "guy that lives in my neighborhood." He gave Obama the Chair to a $50,000,000 grant, and he helped him write his book for him.

The evidence is persuasive and compelling. Read it and think. One of the last paragraphs is a quote that nailed it for me. When Ayers writes about certain south side characters, he refers to Barack, (before he became a politician) as the "writer Barack Obama". The truth was his book died on the vine and was not well known until after he became a U.S. Senator.

This read is long, but worth the time.

As the writer comments about Barack being the writer of this book, when he had NO HISTORY of any sort in writing anything, even when President of the Harvard Law Review, he says,

"To put this in perspective, imagine if a friend played a few rounds in the high 90s and then a few years later, without further practice, made the PGA Tour. It doesn't happen."

Oh, I forgot the millions in donations from Foreign countries who want a weaker America have helped.

Oh, and the fact that he lied when he said he would take Public Financing.

Another example of leadership.

One day, I fear Jeff, you're son's son will be saying the following:

"They came first for the Producers and Corporations, And my grandfather didn’t speak up because he wasn’t an employer;
And then they came for the free thinkers and individualists, And my grandfather didn’t speak up because he wasn’t a either of those;
And then they came for people of faith, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t that stupid to believe in God;
And then . . . they came for the ignorant masses . . . And by that time there was no one left to speak up for me."

You think I'm upset, you've not heard anything yet. I've never heard so many people of ordinary means, speak up angrily about this election while merely standing in line at the grocery store or movie theater. We are very, very angry at the death of real journalism and of the ignorance of voters who are celebrity worshipers.

Conservatives don't like losing, no doubt, but we hate and despise an election that is stolen by the lies of the Democrats who are sheltered in the loving arms of the members of Pravda. (Thats what they call the Press in the Soviet Union.)

What you win people with, is what you win them to. America is ready to have our civil rights taken away for the security of having a right to health benefits, to a job, to a home, to everything that the masses pray for, as long as they back a socialist for President.

Obama's not a socialist. And even if he was, never in his wildest dreams could he accomplish what your President and Party have done to destroy the capitalist system in the United States.

Obama's associates??

Palin's husband, Todd Palin, was a member of the party from 1995-2002 and members say she was at conventions in 1994, and 2000, as well as addressing its conventions in 2006 (when she told them, “Keep up the good work, and God bless you.”) and 2008.

Party founder Vogler preached armed insurrection against the United States of America. Vogler, who always carried a Magnum with him, was fond of saying, “When the [federal] bureaucrats come after me, I suggest they wear red coats. They make better targets. In the federal government are the biggest liars in the United States, and I hate them with a passion. They think they own [Alaska]. There comes a time when people will choose to die with honor rather than live with dishonor. That time may be coming here. Our goal is ultimate independence by peaceful means under a minimal government fully responsive to the people. I hope we don’t have to take human life, but if they go on tramping on our property rights, look out, we’re ready to die.”

He also said, "I'm an Alaskan, not an American. I've got no use for America or her damned institutions."

Vogler said in the interview in 1991,"The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government. And I won't be buried under their damn flag. I'll be buried in Dawson. And when Alaska is an independent nation they can bring my bones home."

Your party's VP is married to and supports people verging on treason. Why doesn't that bother you? This is not some fly by night association on a charity group. This is her husband. This is as organization at which she goes to address as Governor.

You're leading in the polls. So how does it hurt to just admit the truth. Instead, your are part of the Affirmative Action Presidential Campaign, while still trying to pin on Sarah Palin, comments made by some guy, who doesn't live in their neighborhood, that said outrageous things 20 years ago.

Does it ever bother you that you have to dumb down your arguments to support your candidate? No, don't answer that. I know the answer. As the Muslim faith says, its perfectly okay to lie to infidels. I'm not an Obamanaic, so lying to me is perfectly okay.

But hey, one day, when the people of the United Socialists of America looks back at its past history, your father will not be chastised, but lauded. The victors write the history books, or in a Socialist state, the Victor's control all aspects of learning.

It's amazing that "patriotic" Americans who claim to be people of "principles" are attempting to help their candidate reach the White House NOT by way of ideas, but by way of exploiting the gender of an eye-winking, Joe-six pack Governor, flaunting 5 years as a POW, and attempting to assassinate the character of their opponent. And the Richard Hobbs' of the world, who can never say this tripe to the face of the opposition, STILL can't figure out why none of this is working. Comical this is. My neighbor stopped by my house last week to tell me he voted for his first Democrat for President; and it was 100% because of Sarah Palin, the ONLY candidate in this race refusing to go on LIVE question and answer forums to defend her words and express her ideas. I've never seen such a group of people blind to the absolute largest issues in our culture; in our country; and somehow get hung up on Ayers, Rezco (I don't know or even care how to spell his name), and the whole socialist, marxsssss blah blah blah. Our country is in dire need of FOCUSED leadership. Unfortunately, the only thing this brand of overzealous republican character attack has done is focused the rest of the country on how OUT of TOUCH the fringes are. Fortunately Barack doesn't listen to the left wing fringe, and yet McCain has genuflected and surrendered his honor to the right wing Richard Hobbs of the world. And, unfortunately for McCain, they will all go back to loathing him after he loses; the people who interchange "brave war hero" with "the lessor of two evils." McCain has himself to blame. He could have been a leader and focused his message; he could have told people yelling out "kill him," "terrorist," "How are we going to beat the B@#ch,": "Enough guys. We aren't going to take that low road to the White House." But he didn't say that. He acquiesced. He let Richard Hobbs all around the world hijack the message. And guess who is losing under the weight of this bankrupt message? The John McCains AND Elizabeth Doles of the party who nervously hung on to the "straight talk express" as it followed the fringe over the precipice.

But why does he or anyone respond to the weird rantings of Richard Hobbs?

His comments on socialism are something from a bygone era. Obama is a socialist? Good God, Richard is probably still fuming over the "socialism" of FDR.

George W. Bush is our recent affirmative action President. Legacy to Yale, etc.

So, Richard Hobbs. Have we not been here before? Are you here to debate and defend ideas or are you here to bring citizens out of anonymity so that they may be attacked in the future by right wing zealots like yourself? Richard, I have to say that I do believe you have slid to the fringes under the weight of an un winnable election. If you truly want to know who the folks on the opposite side of the argument are, I've got an idea:

Schedule one of those coffee thingees so that YOU will actually be there, and I'm quite certain there will be a host of people you don't agree with that will gladly give you the opportunity to:

1. Get to meet them, and possibly their families.

2. Allow you to insult them face to face.

3. And allow you to defend your ideas in front of a caffeinated, captive audience.

just a thought though, Richard. If your candidate cannot even run a campaign (how many folks has he had to fire and "correct" for their words? How many times has he left Palin in the dark on pulling out of Michigan and scaling back entitlement programs) how are we to believe he can run a country?

Nothing wrong with being a socialist country---the most advanced societies in Europe (i.e. Sweden, Norway, Finland) are socialist in nature, and many more are run or have been run by socialist governments (Spain, Germany, Netherlands, etc).

Whet is really ironic here is that it was a REPUBLICAN ADMINISTRATION the one who created the conditions and stirrings to nationalize banks, financial institutions and insurance companies. It is the REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE the one putting forward a proposal to nationalize mortgages. So much for a "lttle government" maverick.

Obama plans to raise corporate income taxes on businesses that bring in over $250,000 a year.

These businesses will have to either a)raise prices, which becomes a defacto tax on people that earn less than $250K; b) reduce head count, increasing unemployment; or c) move overseas.

Now, how is this policy going to either add jobs or help everyday Americans?

Why in the world should our government go into the real estate and mortgage biz? I know, I know, for the greater good, yup, yup.

What happened was that the Bush administration proposed this plan and then the R's in Congress thought they could get the D's to pass it without their help. That way, the D's end up supporting the Bush administration while the R's stood on the side yelling, "socialist, socialist!!" Pelosi and Reid decided not to fall into the trap and didn't muster the votes. Meanwhile McCain, thinking it was all wired, parachuted into the mess and claimed ownership by virtue of his great leadership. Then when it failed McCain owned the failure, was forced to vote in favor of the bailout and lost twice, once for not being able to rally the R's to support the Bush administration and again by being forced to antagonize his base by leading the next vote to support the Bushies plan. He failed before the American people first then failed before the R's second.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, Obama quietly and calmly waited until just the right moment and supported the republican legislation, rallying the D's to save the legislation. He gave a speech on the Senate floor which by that time McCain couldn't afford to do because his base hated the Bush plan. Y'all lost for the third time, McCain looked erratic and Obama came out looking like a calm in the storm leader. McCain dropped 5 points in the poll, Obama went up 5 points and you still don't know what happened and why!

Have you seen the polling on the bailout? Obama leadership 58% McCain 23%.

I blame Rush. He told you guys Obama was a messiah and you believed it! I told you months ago that he was a Chicago politician instead. Obama, Pelosi and Reid played the R's like violins and you still don't get it? LOL!

Politics at that level is not for amateurs. Send McCain an e-mail and tell him.

That heading hurt a little, but I will get over it. You said politics at that level is not for amateurs. That's the problem. POLITICS. Elected "represenatives" who are only trying to make their party win and to cover their butts over the good of the people. Who on either side is looking out for me? It sure isn't Obama, Reid, Hillary, Pelosi, McCain, Bush, Clinton or any leading R or D that I can think of. So let's get off this idiotic bandwagon of Right / Left or Repubs / Dems and get some work done. No one, at the elected level, has my interest at heart. NO ONE! So say what you want about about McCain or Obama, but for the next 4 years we are going to have crappy leadership.

Now, we will see how the Senator, who as you said Obama waited until the most polically expediate moment to act, will probably be our leader with only minimal experience. Go figure. Americans are going to get what we deserve because we can not get 2 good candidates to run for the most important position in the world.

The Obama campaign must be paying you Jeff, because I can't imagine that you really have no real concern about your reputation when you can say the things you say, with no real concern for reality.

You're giddy, drunk with excitement over your Messiah. Sure, your candidate is winning right now. But your proving Karl Marx is correct, "religion is the opiate of the masses" and your head is stuck so far up the "One's" behind that you he can't fart unless you syncronize a sneeze to go with it. Religion isn't just those that believe in Christ, or Allah, its when people divest themselves of common sence and compassion predicated upon their blind faith in a person rather than in a faith. Oh, and I noticed how you never addressed any of the points I cited above. Why? Because the electorate is so consumed with the "opiate" that the truth has no value to them anymore. Drinking that Kool-aid morning, noon, and night.

Then I read where you are honestly BRAGGING about Obama being a Chicago politician. I know what that means, and to be proud of it, is embarrassing.

Add to your Chicago pride is the voter fraud that goes hand in hand with Barack's past. The constant news about Acorn and the fraud of registering thousands of people is all over the news. Dick Morris says he is going to start polling dead people due to the fraud. Ohio is now allowing instant registration and instant voting. There will be tens of thousands of fraudulent provisional ballots to count after the election. I truely fear 2000 repeating all over again, with the fraud of Barack's past association with Acorn playing a starring role.

I notice that you are still smiling with glee over this bailout plan. Why? because the media and the Democrats have been able to convince others that the Republicans were the only ones who were at fault. Again, this crisis is part and parcel the Democrats fault.

Your father's administration began the snowball effect, albeit, unintentionally. Instead of focusing people on building their credit, they instead focused on lowering the requirements for getting a loan. Affirmative Action policies, like the ones that got Barack the Democratic nomination, have produced this poison pill, and it was the Clinton administration that pushed your Dad's snowball down the hill.

New York Times Predicted Clinton Sub Prime Lending Guidelines would cause a Crisis, and this was in 1999. Click here.

When I was heavily involved in the Christian Church, we tried to bring others to our understanding of life. We tried to convince others of what Christianity had to offer them. I'll never forget being told that when attempting to sway others, that if you win people to Christ with lies, half truths, or trumped up promises, then that is what you won them to. These new people might be "won" but their faith would be quickly shattered once they learn the truth.

Again back to the Opiate of the Masses comment, Barack's half truths, lies about the bailout, lies about his past associations, his lies about his socialism and racism, is what America is being won over with. One day, when the Media's legs stop tingling, the truth will come out, and the haze and daze of waking up in the morning after having one too many the night before, America will hopefully realize what they were "won" by the "one's" celebrity style of socialism.

And you seem to mindlessly think that is funny. Winning with no concern for an honest election is sad, very sad. Winning with no concern for the truth is as well.

Oh, I'm one of those small businesses that Barack says should pay more taxes. If his plan comes about, and my taxes are increased by as much as he says he wants to tax me, then that amount will equal one and one half of what I pay for my employees. Ask Barack if I should patriotically lower my life style for Barack's tax plan, rather than letting one or two more people go on unemployment. I'm sure they would like to know what the Messiah wants me to do. How many employees are you going to let go Jeff?

Your silly rants about messiah this and messiah that come straight from Rush's radio show. Politics for the D's is just politics. It's the R's obsession and equating of religion with politics that has partly brought your party to where it is. If you can't tell the difference between religion and politics then that's your problem, confuse them all you want. Meanwhile, we'll be beating you in the elections.

And I did address your points. I clearly said that I didn't care about your paranoid ravings backed up by right-wing nut jobs. Do you ever wonder why your accusations don't get any traction? Does it ever occur to you to ask how only you can see the light and the other 300 million of us are doomed to live in the darkness? Hmmm.

Voter fraud? It's a laughable accusation coming from Republicans but my position is investigate it and prosecute it. Throw 'em in jail. Remember though when attacking me that you are simply barking up the wrong tree.

A Clearer Picture on Voter ID

Smiling with glee at the bailout? I wrote here that I opposed it! I'm only smiling at the disastrous political choices that your guy made erratically lurching from position to position and demonstrating his leadership abilities by being able to rally a whopping 30% of his own party to support his own party's President's bailout bill. And that was after they got down on their knees and begged!

“...the media and the Democrats have been able to convince others that the Republicans were the only ones who were at fault.”???

Right. Why don't y'all ever, ever address the fact that McCain's top financial adviser, Phil Gramm, sponsored the legislation that barred the government from regulating the credit swap derivatives that are responsible for the crisis. Why do we never ever see you owning up to the fact that McCain's campaign manager took millions to lobby for Freddie and Fannie? Think that might be a small part of the reason that we've convinced everybody that the republican's were at fault? Maybe because the R's have controlled the White House for eight long disastrous years and your party has controlled Congress for 10 of the last 12 years? Any of that ring a bell?

On a happy note for you though, I really don't think that you need to worry too much about Ohio. Looks like That One is going to win by such a margin that all the contested ballots won't matter at all.

Answer the question.

And explain why and how his past associations shouldn't be part or how America determines their vote.

You mention Phil Graham et. al, but never address the real influences that Barack has had on his life.

So, no, you aren't answering the question. Like Obama, you keep whistling past the graveyard and hope, against the truth, that American Liberalism incrementally takes over our capitalistic society, without America knowing what or how it happened.

The Democcrats are driving the homeless people to the voting precincts to register and then to vote, and you mock these factual stories as being silly.

Once you control the media, you control the people. Welcome to the United Socialists of America, established 2008. Lennin would be proud.

You are still attempting to create your own reality; one I'm sure you have lived comfortably in for quite some time. Your claims of democratic influence over Freddie Mac will NEVER gain traction since we know that McCain's CAMPAIGN ADVISER was on the Freddie Mac payroll by way of his self-named company until August to the tune of $15,000 monthly; down from $30,000 monthly earlier. Talk to the hand, and pray that Sarah's political career in Alaska can survive today's troopergate report.

I understand anonymity, because there are some whack jobs out there that sit in their studies digging up pages and pages and pages of anti-Obama information, and you never know where their obsessions will take them.

What I DON'T UNDERSTAND is false bravado, fake courage, wrapped in a lie, and delivered on an indifferent group of bloggers that "someone" obviously thinks are fools! Pathetic, "fred." Pathetic!

"fred," I hope you are getting a good impression of what I think of your "guts."

diva, I could not care less of what you think of me. I never asked for your opinion about anything - you just came off spoutin gibberish and nonsense.

You have a strange, almost pathological obsession with me for some strange reason. (Probably because you got called on the carpet for refering to me as a prostitute)

Lying to make yourself look good and to help you imagine that you have guts is just disgusting. And no matter how many logically challenged Lindseys you have trying to shore up your constant stream of "who cares about this anyway" posts, the fact that can't be buried in your daily Obama blogs is that you, Sir, are less than honest.

"fred," or whomever you are: Give facts a try. For once.

Bush derangement syndrome and this "pig singing" thing are pretty much all you have it seems. I'm not surprised. After all, I would not dare to go to any of the local bookstores in search of new material. There are pictures of President and Mrs. Obama on everything from calendars to business magazines to self-help periodicals; and EVERY newspaper. So, you had best stick to the conservative internet sites for your constant supply of arguments that didn't work last year, aren't working now, and won't work in the next election cycle. Really sucks to be on a losing team, doesn't it? Detroit Lions feel sorry for you.

Why do you try to converse with an angry hack like diva?

This person gets on here and attacks anyone who doesn't agree with him on politics. He is a mean psychotic parody of crazy bonkers. Does anyone really need to go to divas coffees to meet an angry person? Life is way to short.

If he really thought obumbles was winning he wouldn't need to beat everyone up with his angry tirades.

Have a good day Fred.

"He is a mean psychotic parody of crazy bonkers. Does anyone really need to go to divas coffees to meet an angry person?"

Whew! Where to begin....

The problem with "Fred Garvin" is this (not that it has anything to do with you).

"Fred Garvin" cried to Cal trying to get me banned for typing "Fred Garvin male prostitute." This whiner knows full well that they are using a name from television; the name of a Dan Akroyd character, but they tried to game the system and were called out. This person whom I assume you think is not angry has made a life of posting on one single name, and that's fine. But it's funny how he and YOU whine and complain and call us "angry" for daring to offer rebuttals.

The "coffee" again has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with you. Richard Hobbs feels it is not worth his time to blog with "Anonymous" persons. I have invited him to set a time of his choosing to meet real people with real names and faces to share and debate ideas. Nothing to do with you at all, thanks for asking.

What DOES have to do with you is the fact that you can be so sweet, gentle, pleasant, and inviting in person; face to face. But get behind a keyboard, and you are a "mean psychotic parody" incarnate. I would never have been able to imagine such racial slurs as "raghead" and such situational outrage to any crime if committed by a black person (GBI! GBI!) And I am amazed that you would ever think I would be at all welcome with a racial epithet spewing, situational outrage presenting person such as yourself. This goes so far beyond politics "Skyspy."

I'll just ask you three questions:

1.How many liberals have used information from these boards to attempt to rob someone of their livelihood?

2.How mad would you be if someone sent a package to your place of work showing where you had, for example, referred to middle easterners as "rag heads" in an attempt to get you fired?

3. If you were a person that detested racism, would you hang out with you?

I wouldn't.

Cheers!

1: I'm sure you will come to meet and greet me and Richard and little birdie, since you use your real name and need not anonymity.

and 2: I'm sure that LTE under your name is coming any moment now. Look forward to meeting you.

ps: Is it "gibberish" that Rick Davis made MILLIONS of dollars from Fannie and Freddie lobbying all while leading McCain's campaign? Are you just going to ignore that tiny detail?

they are in total denial.
In control for the past eight years while the dollar plummeted and bank regulations were shredded, and now blaming the Democrats for everything: Classic.
Nominating a tired old man for POTUS who then picked a soccer mom moose annihilator for a running mate : Shameful.
Stoking the fires of rudeness and barbarian manners in lieu of using the intelligence that the creator gave you: Sadly typical.
Accusing everyone else of these same traits: As they say, Priceless.

Is you accusing others of "stoking the fires of rudeness and barbarian manners' when just seconds before YOU called a military HERO a "tired old man" and belittled his running mate. And, of course, you never address the involvement of Barney Frank, Christopher Dodd, ACORN (Obama's community organizing ACORN), Jim Johnson, or Raines with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. What about the MILLIONS Johnson and Raines got from their involvement? What about all the strong-arm tactics and intimidation from ACORN to the banks and lending institutions? Obama's favorite organization except for maybe the Democratic Socialist Party. And, of course, neither you nor Jeff addressed that little tidbit, either. Total denial.

JeffC's picture

There are none so blind as those that will not see. None of the people you mentioned have any effect on the Obama campaign. They are peripheral and people just don't care. What have Barney Frank and Dodd got to do with Obama? Members of the same party? Can you find a single person who cares? Raines? Two telephone calls. Johnson? Fired! ACORN intimidating multi-national banks? That's your argument? Meanwhile, McCain's CAMPAIGN MANAGER is raking in millions lobbying for Freddie and Fannie, something you never seem to mention?

Obama and the DSP based on Richard's paranoid fantasies? Don't believe it and don't care. Pedal it if you can. Bring it on.

And belittling McCain's running mate? She is the most pathetic person ever in the history of the United States to be nominated for VP. She is an absolute disaster for McCain. When he selected her he gave up the experience argument and his "America First" slogan. Nobody anywhere seriously thinks that somebody who put America first would endanger the country by nominating such an unqualified lightweight for that position.

Looks like you guys did just that when you nominated someone with LESSER qualifications than Gov. Palin. John McCain is both old and tired, and it shows, regardless of his military past. Sarah Palin is in everyone's face with her "qualities". I have repeatedly criticized the Republicans for exploiting both of these people. I don't use your talking points, so I have no need to defend them, and I do not deny the enabling that the Republican administration received from the congress.

1979: Charges Against Ayers Were Dropped Because "The Government's Case Was Based On Illegal Wiretaps."The New York Times reported, "William Ayers was a fugitive, too, for nine of those years, but the Federal charges against him, Miss Dohrn and other members of the revolutionary organization were dropped in 1979, when it was ruled that the Government's case was based on illegal wiretaps." [New York Times, 12/5/80]

No wonder Obama is against making it legal to wiretap terrorists. If it had been in 1979, who would have helped him launch his political career?
