Great, great stuff!

The first time I ever heard "Take It Easy" was over the AM radio in my dad's '65 T-Bird. I guess this was about 1972. I was 15 and only had a restricted license, but although he was a cop, he was already letting me drive it. I heard the song and then misheard when they said it was by "the Eagles." I thought they said "Beatles," even though it didn't sound like the latter and they had just split up.

Anyway, if you listen closely, you can hear Jackson Browne's influence in the writing of that one.

I should have added Eagles tunes to my set list for my upcoming PTC benefit at the Fred! Let's see, I do "Hotel California," "Lyin' Eyes," "Desperado," and "One of These Nights," just to name some off the top of the head. It'll be great. I'll have groupies asking me to autograph their breasts. But I'll say, "Not doing it, dude."
