I think everyone should go to this web site and form their own opinion on where we should trim fat before we cut teachers salaries. I used the advance search, marked local boards of education, then under organization, used the drop down menu and put Fayette county board of education...

Next, I opened a 2nd screen using the web add below and pulled each person's salarie on that page. Now this is just the top dogs, it does not take into account all the support staff.

I added all the people on that page's salary and came up with right under ...3..million..dollars a year. These are people who never set foot in the class room.

make above $100,000. a year, with the exception of one $65,000., one $61,000., one $89,000., one $90,000. and 3 at $99,000.

I also noted, we have 28 schools and 297 people working as custodians, some of the more unusual names who are making, $500, $1,000. or 3,000. have names that are the same, or similar, to some very uncommon names in higher places. Are these their kids, working during breaks? or a coincidence? Are these jobs not offered to other kids at the schools?

is a separate issue, no buss drivers, not transportation managers, not mechanics, there is another category, call Other Transportation. That has 85 people being paid anywhere from $600. to 48,000. What is this?

that has 43 people listed any where from $50.00 dollars to $10,000.00. What is this?

I did a little research for you on "miscellaneous activities"...

The large dollar amounts went for specialty band instruction (percussion mostly) and color guard instruction.

The other 3 dozen or so entries were for coaching stipends, mostly non-varsity sports.
