This would be an interesting job for Mythbusters. I strongly suspect that what the vicar claims happened is impossible in terms of physics, but how could the Mythbusters recreate the scenario to prove this without endangering and humiliating themselves?

I especially like this line: "Like all busy hospitals we do see some unusual accidents. But our staff deal with them in a discreet, professional and kind way."
I'm sorry, but nobody is that mature.
