* Liddy was convicted and sentenced to 20 years in prison for multiple crimes in connection in the Watergate break-in and the break-in at the office of the psychiatrist of Daniel Ellsberg, the military analyst who leaked the Pentagon Papers.

* Liddy ended up serving four and a half years in prison.

* Liddy plotted to murder journalist Jack Anderson and also plotted with a “gangland figure” to murder Howard Hunt to stop him from cooperating with investigators.

* Liddy plotted to firebomb the Brookings Institution, think tank.

* He also planned on kidnapping anti-war protestors or what he called “leftist guerillas” at the 1972 Republican National Convention— a plan he outlined to the Nixon administration using terminology borrowed from the Nazis.

* After the 1993 raid on the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, he endorsed the shooting of federal agents: "Kill the sons of bitches."

* Liddy instructed citizens to kill ATF agents stating: "Well, if the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms comes to disarm you and they are bearing arms, resist them with arms. Go for a head shot; they're going to be wearing bulletproof vests."

* Liddy has never expressed regret for his attempt to subvert the Constitution. Nor has he developed any respect for the law.

* Liddy has donated $5,000 to McCain’s campaigns since 1998, including $1,000 in February 2008.

* Liddy calls McCain an “old friend” and McCain praised Liddy’s “adherence to the principles and philosophies that keep our nation great,” said he was “proud” of Liddy, and said that “it’s always a pleasure for me to come on your (radio) program.”

So, Liddy called for the murder of federal agents, served time in jail, spied and burglarized, plotted murder, firebombing and kidnapping.... and even after all that, John McCain still applauds this man and takes his money while he blasts Obama for sitting on a board with Bill Ayers. Hypocrite McCain!

From Sunday's Televised 'Meet the Press' Senator Obama was asked about his stance on the American Flag. Obama Explains National Anthem Stance

Sun, 07 Sept. 2008 11:48:04 EST, General Bill Ginn' USAF (ret.) asked Obama to explain why he doesn't follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.

The General also stated to the Senator that according to the United States Code,

Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171...During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. At the very least, 'Stand and Face It'

Senator Obama Live on Sunday states, 'As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides, Obama said. 'There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression. And the anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all. It should be swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing.' If that were our anthem, then I might salute it.'We should consider to reinvent our National Anthem as well as to redesign our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love. It's my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren. If we as a Nation of warring people, should conduct ourselves as the nations of Islam, whereas peace prevails. Perhaps a state or period of mutual concord between our governments. When I become President, I will seek a pact or agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts. We as a Nation have placed upon the nations of Islam an unfair injustice. My wife disrespects the Flag for many personal reasons. Together she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past, ma ny years ago. She has her views and I have mine'. Of course now, I have found myself about to become the President of the United States and I have put aside my hatred. I will use my power to bring CHANGE to this Nation, and offer the people a new path of hope. My wife and I look forward to becoming our Country's First Family. How can people function in modern society without the ability to evaluate anything about anything? Obama was right when he said, "It's like they take pride in being ignorant."

I believe the problem may be that many in our society are fixated on the "lowest cost" (without taking quality into account at all) being equal to a "good deal" or even the "best deal". Since ignorance and stupidity have no up front costs, as in "free", it is easy for me to see why so many are proud of their acquisition.
